Formatting a hard drive is a way to remove all information on the drive.
This is what you want to do.
If you put the disk in the CD drive and restart your computer.
The computer should detect a bootable disk is in your drive and say something like.
"Press any key to boot from CD"
When is says that, press a key. It will take into a blue screen, and you'll be asked a lot of questions.
One of the questions will be about which partition to install XP onto. You want to first delete the partition, this will delete everything on your hard drive, then you need to format the partition using NTFS quick.
Good Luck!

Before you do anything you should backup/copy any files you created, which you want to save. This can be done easily with flashdrives which have really come down in price.
To format a hard drive means to erase all files.
If you format the HD, then after you install the legitimate WinXP, you will have to reinstall all other programs you were using.
You can probably get away with putting XP on two computers, but I wouldn't want to be the one to get caught doing it. I haven't tried this so I don't know if you would be able to install updates on two computers or if after updating one computer, you would be told you had already installed a particular update.

a not ordinary force comes with out formatting from production unit, this because no 2 operating structures use a similar report equipment formats. so that you'll usually favor to position in the operating equipment through booting from the operating equipment disk, and it then grants to create a partition. This in outcome also formats it. A pre-formatted force would already have a partition created and a report equipment format on it. not a good concept except they state the type of report equipment, and that report equipment is the type your operating equipment calls for. no matter if it isn't, you'll favor to apply the stepped forward selection in the course of the deploy to delete ALL walls and then create a partition to load on. you want a sparkling criminal reproduction of living house windows which hasn't ever been used on yet another gadget or it received't turn on.

It'll wipe it clean. If you have anything important on it it will no longer exist.
Loading a legal copy onto your disk may not be allowed over the
pirated copy. Formating would be better, however still back up
your important stuff. Even other applications you have on disk.
But, you will not be able to load it onto another machine.
Microsoft recieves a report of your version whenever you sign onto the internet.

Formatting means deleting every data from your computer.. without special software you won't be able to display your documents.. legaly seen you cannot use the same WIndows copy on two computers, but tecnically you can.. normally it works perfectly..
