I believe its different from state to state, but as long as you have a qualified disability you should be able to qualify for it. Although there may be a clause that says you have to spend that money in a certain amount of time before you can start collecting ss or di. I worked at a bank for 8 yrs and for some reason thats ringing a bell.....Hope that helps. You should go on the government, unemployment website for your state and see what you can find

You should apply for disability if you have disabilities that will keep you from working for at least a year. It's a long, lengthy process and most everyone is turned down the first time. If you're willing to go through the hassle, then apply. I was denied and never appealed, it wasn't worth it to me because I knew I would be going back to work before I would have been approved.

the social worker in the cancer care/hospital should be able to help you...just ask your doctor or nurses ....keep asking
