God's way is the shedding of innocent blood to make ourselves righteous with God. We see in Genesis 3:21
21 Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. (New King James Version)

And that Abel's Sacrafice was acceptable. Genesis 4: 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, (New King James Version).

So, since I do not believe in Jesus, but I want to make myself righteous before God, and in Genesis people were made righteous before God because of the shedding of innocent blood, can I on my death bed sacrafice an innocent goat, to make myself righteous with God?

Depends on where your death bed is.

If you are dying at home, your wife might complain about the mess you make, but of course, you'll be dead, so I don't know if that would bother you or not. If you don't mind that she will have to buy a new bed and new bedclothes, I suppose it will be O.K.

If you are dying in a hospital, you might have a bit of a problem getting the goat in there. I think they have some sort of a rule about visitors being human...and I'm sure they frown on sacrificing any visitors before they've visited the gift shop, which is rarely open at any time, especially during visiting hours.

Anywhere else, check the rules, and follow your own conscience.

You've wasted too much time reading the big fable. All life is equal in the eyes of GOD. GOD cannot require or accept a blood sacrifice as all creatures are GOD so to accept a blood sacrifice would be to promote GOD'S own bleeding. For the Christians and Jews that will argue this, I submit: Take a course in biology and notice that all creation follows one design and and one design only. There are obviously different variations but there are all variants of one design. Take religion out of the argument for one second and think.

Blood sacrifice is no longer necessary.
In Old Testament times, God commanded the Israelites to make animal sacrifices for substitutionary atonement; that is, an animal's death took the place of a person's death, death being the penalty for sin (Romans 6:23).

Jesus' blood sacrifice paid for them once and for all.
Hebrews 9:12-15, "Once for all time he took blood into that Most Holy Place, but not the blood of goats and calves. He took his own blood, and with it he secured our salvation forever.

Since you don't believe in Jesus you better have that goat ready.

There is none righteous, not even one, your right that you need to be made clean. The problem however is that the blood of animals does not remove sin, it only covers it. Jesus Christ was the ultimate sacrifice to eradicate all sin for all time. Killing an animal will change nothing for you in eternity, accepting Jesus however is the beginning of a new life.

Women shed blood every month. We don't get anywhere either.

I wore my fur a few years ago and some teenager mocked me as I walked past saying 'Animal hater, Animal hater' ...I agree and haven't worn it since. It is a $3,000 dog mat.

Did you want to borrow it for your up coming death bed?

Would you just stay out of the Old Testament when comparing things to today? Use the New Testament!
The Old Testament was not meant to be an example of which we are to live, today. Please, please read more. I can tell by your questions and answers that you are a very intelligent person. Once again, I hope you have a great weekend. :)
