NO!!! These people are too lazy to get off their fat butts and work and all they have to to do is work in the fields
and that would take care of the ILLEGAL immigrant problem in a heart beat.

Poverty is a relative term. I have had the "priviledge" of seeing poverty in various corners of the globe and our version of "poverty" just doesnt compare. The "problem" in the USA is our high lifestyle. People with the bare necessities of home, clothes, food, running water and electricty and nothing else are seen as "poor" here, but are 10000X better off than the truly poor of the rest of the world. Yes some people cant make it to the standard most of us enjoy, but with all the programs in this country there is no reason people should be without the basics of food, clothing and shelter unless the refuse to accept it or suffer from mental illness as the majority of "homeless" people here do.

I love to hear you guys... vote republican this and democrats do it better that...
open your eyes people... they are ALL crooks....
WAKE UP!!!!
The issue that should be on our agendas is "The Elite"... the 10% of our nation that has 80% of the wealth... they keep us down by separating us with the "party wars" I say we should find a way to UNITE as lower class & middle class America and say that enough is enough... It's an issue of the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS... of the people by the people for the people???? It should be changed to of the rich by the rich for the rich. The stench of old money in this country has been in the air for far too long...
or we could just be complacent, shrug our shoulders and say "That's the way it's always been and that's the way it's gonna be... That's the way it's gonna STAY because we somehow feel that these "ELITE" deserve to be where they are... Why would they raise the minimum wage when the never have felt the crunch come paying the bills time? It doesn't effect any our THEIR loved ones... Why make OPEC sell their product at a fair price when they are benefiting from gas price hikes?
I could go on but I can sense most of you saying STFU fool... I'll leave you with this
"Every Official that comes in,
cripples us, leaves us maimed,
silent and tamed
and with our flesh and bones he builds his homes!!!"

No, because the U.S. could easily solve poverty if it was desired to but our Government has a system of checks and balances which are the wealthy and the poor. One representing the place everyone wants to be and the other is the place no one wants to be. With that there' s also jobs that people rather not do and even would hate to do. These jobs are reserved for the poor for if they had a choice, these jobs would be left undone. The extremely poor just haven't or wasn't able to accept that fate and consciously or unconsciously chose to be poor according to the options given to them by their life-styles and surrounding but originally founded and set up through the plan of the Government

Yes Because there are people who don't need help getting a check and is just as healthy as everyone who works for a living. Then the people who needs help can't get it. Plus the billions of dollars we give to other country's who does not need help before we feed and help the people here in America.

Yes and I think its a waste when we help other countries through humanitarian aid like we are all find and have no problems in America. As with the billions rebuilding Iraq. Whats next on the agenda give Iran 100 billion to stop it nuclear program which they will not do. When has America decided to distribute money to the homeless like when Halliburton, issued money and squander money in Iraq.

on a recent Sean Hannity show during the man on the street segment Sean interviewed people over the phone about politics and voting . it was fairly amusing and scary at the same time.
a 17 yr old girl who said she will be 18 and vote in the next presidential election said she would vote for H Clinton if she was running. when questioned why the girl replied i like her because she is a woman. when asked what if C Rice was running the girl didn't know who Rice was.
further questions reveled the future Democrat did not know the following...
1. the vice presidents name
2. The speaker of the House name
3. Who Tony Blair is
4. could not name a single sitting judge on the Supreme Court.
She did know the following
1. the names of the 3 stooges
2. the names of the characters on The Simpson's
This is frightening!

Absolutely! Anyone who lives in a city will certainly see many homeless people each day. This is a tragedy - our government should let no citizen go homeless or hungry - or without medical and mental health care.
The miminum wage should definitely be raised, and every job should give medical benefits. Government should help more with funding to train people for decent-paying jobs. Corporations should also have more on-the-job training for people who need a respectable job.
The severe alcohol and drug abusers should be treated as people with any other illness, and given medical and mental health attention at no cost.
I fear that poverty will only get worse - as parents must go to work, their children remain unsupervised (then ditch school, do drugs/booze, have sex as children, etc.).

Yes. It's can't be easy to take care of a family if you make $5.15 per hour. Now it's harder then ever for people to find jobs with the trade act & jobs being sent to other countries, and goods being imported from China and others. I'm not against free trade, but take care of your own first. Funny how the politicians salaries are in the gazillions though, isn't it?

yes .. absolutely ... and imo its the federal reserve bank that is the main cause of it and will continue to cause more of it into the future. How can we have a central bank that is privately owned and operated for profit , in control of our money supply and making monetary policy .... andddd having a huge influence in politics ...and not have it be corrupt? there is a conflict of interest there ...being privately run for profit natuarally alienates and suppresses the people of the United states .... the solution is the same used by andrew jackson to pay off the national debt ... kill the central bank, and give the monetary and issueing powers back to congress and the people to whom it properly belongs.
