I am a white girl and I have currrrly, frizzy hair.It looks great when i just let it dry naturally but I always straighten my bangs and the humidity takes over and they curl up my forehead. I have and can use a hair staightener (chemicals) but I just need ideas because the humidity in the South is horrible!! Is there a cut or way to make this stuff more manageable?? I have a round face with big eyes. I just hate it when my hair curls so much when I go outside

i am from alabama, and i see you must be too. the humidity in the south is horrible! i have curly frizzy hair also, but i finally just got tired of it, so i like to wear it curly to embrace its naturalness! i tried straightning it, but as you said the humidty took overm it looked good before i left the house and then when i walk out there it goes. and i felt so self conscious about it, but if you wear it natural[i believe the way its supposed to be worn] then it looks much better and takes less time. some good curling products that help lock out frizz and makes you look like you have a beautiful spiral is vo5 curl enhancer or tresseme[sorry dont know how to spell] curl booster[always get alcohol free!!!]. hope i helped! guys like girls with curly hair so embrace them! i get much more compliments on curly than straight! curls are coming back girl!

I think I would let your bangs grow out. The shorter the hair the more it will curl. There is a line called Paul brown. They are professional products. They were created in hawaii for the humidity and the people who have thick curly frizzy hair. they have a professional straightner that works great! Also their products are all anti-humidity. Find a salon in your area that carries it or go on line to learn more-

I think it makes more sense to work with the curls. Use a conditioning hair gel. Put it on wet hair, and then use your fingers to form the curls how you want them. Those curls are beautiful. Don't have bangs, you probably don't need them, or just let them be curly like the rest of your hair. Straighteners will just ruin your hair-- those chemicals dry it out so bad, it will never look right. I'd advise against that.

Appreciate what nature gave you.... lots of people work very hard to get their hair to curl like that.

Yes humdity is definately a hair enemy. I suggest when you straighten your bangs/curl your hair use hairspray to set the curls in so they don't frizz. After you take shower scrunch your wet curls and use mousse/gel then hairspray and blowdry your hair then straighten your bangs hairspray once again and you should have mangeable fuzz-free hair =)

P.S a good cut for frizzy curly hair is layers, it's cuts off all the bulk and excess and give it a nice effect for your curls.

Have you tried Frizz Ease? That stuff works good in my hair. I live in the south also, so I know about the humidity! Also, do you use a flat iron? I recommend Chi brand....it's a little expensive, but worth it! Have you considered growing your bangs out?

Maybe it'll help you out too!

I have the curly-frizzy hair problem too. I would suggest just letting your bans grow out . . . it is pretty hard to have bangs with curly hair, especially where it is humid.
