Guilty conscience? The OT was a different time and place, polygemy was practised, women who were menstruating had to go away for seven days, God doesn't change but the cultures of the earth are changing all the time. Don't worry too much about OT tradition, first read Mathew 5 and see what Jesus was concerned about, blessed be the peacekeeprs etc.

No,it doesn't mean he kills them,it means they at their own risk of breaking the commandment because when you are married you make a very deeply important promise that you'll stay united with your spouse forever and ever NO MATTER what happens and if you leave your spouse and commit adultery then you brake your marriage promise and the commandment rule but it doesn't mean that you gonna die for commiting it but dat you gonna have even more problems with your new spouse and you might end up being in a horrible relationship or Divorce, and no that's not scary for the fatc god doesn't kill people, people kill themselves with the problems they bring to their selves,I hope this helps your question!!!!!!!!

What it means is that in the civic structure of Theocratic Israel, God instituted the laws of state, which included death for adultery. Although the theocracy of Israel has dissolved, I would maintain that the state should, even here in the west, execute adulterers.

Well I dont think so.... I think if God is as good as many people believe I believe if they are truly sorry God would forgive.
However it happened to me 23 years ago & i was left to struggle with no financial or otherwise support on my own with a 4 year old child & a 3month old baby.
I was devastated at the time & if God had of reached out & frazzled him where he stood I would of clapped.
However both children turned out fine & they now have homes, jobs & families of their own...
Maybe if we had stayed together the Children would of been affected by the violent rages my ex flew into.
Everything happens for a reason & I think God has a big heart & his forgiveness is infinite.

well, in the Bible God commands death of many many people. Samson killed the 1000 philistines, God commanded the death of a blasphemer (told the people to stone her). God commanded the death of abrahams son (even though abraham didnt follow through) God himself killed thousands upon thousands when he flooded the world. And there is a Bible verse that claims god is murderous

Back in Old Testament times,ANYONE found guilty of committing adultery was stoned to death by Jewish leaders, and those that saw the adultery happen. That was a command by God,for ALL the people to stone those who broke the commandments of God.It put sin away from people by putting the fear of God into people.Nowday's,yes God still has His way to punish people who commit adultery, sex diseases, murder, and just death. If you repent from your sins,God doesnt have to punish you,but there will be CONSEQUENCES for that sin in your life.

Adultery is the corruption of marriage. Unrepented adulterers and adulteresses will feel hellfire.

No, I think that he just does not think highly of it. However, I believe a lot of the bible was filled in with what man wanted of it. You have to realize that the red sea scrolls must not have been in that good of shape. Therefore, people wanted to continue the story just added things along the way.

No, it means God is supposedly telling us that adulterers should be put to death. Take that for what it is...

I'm betting Leviticus is a Roman name and he was upset with his wife's infidelity and so had a vision from God. But unless you are boning your neighbor's wife, don't worry about it.
