Everytime I shower, I have about 5 or more strands of hair that has fallen out in my hands. Then as I rinse, apply conditioner, rinse out the conditioner, more and more falls out. It also comes out when I brush my hair, run my hands through my hair, etc. I'm so tired of my hair falling out! It's getting really thin looking and I used to have extremely thick hair. In fact, it's probably a good thing I did cause I might be bald. :( It's been falling out for the past few months.

Anyway, does anyone know what this means? Does anyone share the same problem?

I have been under pretty extreme stress for a while now. At my last job, they were commiting fraud and I wanted to get away as quickly as possible, but I couldn't quit until I found something else.

You can lose between 30 & 100 hairs a day, it is completely normal. Your hair has three stages of growth (the gowing, resting & SHEDDING), once a strand is shed it will begin to grow again. I also think that the longer your hair is the more prone to shedding it becomes, just because it puts more stress on the follicle itself. Every time I wash, brush or just run my hands through my hair i have a few strands that come out too, it's perfectly normal.

If you honestly notice that your hair is actually becoming thinner you may want to see a doctor as it could be signs of a serious problem

It happens to EVERYONE..5 or more strands isn't really that much hair.Your hair is in a cycle of growing, resting and shedding. At any given time, you could be losing as many as 200 hairs per day. This is not a problem when you consider that there could be 100,000 or more hairs actively growing.

First off, to the above answer, you don't have cancer. Having your hair fall out if you *did* have it is the result of chemotherapy. The process of bombarding your body with a type of radiation to kill off the cancer cells.

Anyhow, it could be a myriad of things. Stress, a thyroid condition, poor nutrition... In fact the mere act of being stressed about it falling out could be the cause.

If it truly is getting noticeable thin, I'd go talk to your doctor and see what they think. They might have you change your diet, or have you give a blood sample to see if you have some sort of chemical imbalance that's causing it.

I thought you said it was math class? But I also had something similar to this. Me and my friends were playing dog pile. And the girl with the thickest hair was falling out. And the thing was, it was landing on me. And in my dream I'm like "EWW!" Well yeah that's what I wanted to say. sorry if I didn't help :( EDIT: I just realized geometry IS math. Sorry. I had a brain fart there xP

Nah, don't get too worked up over it. I think you are just maybe a tad bit paranoid. This happens to everyone...when I brush my it, run through it, or wash it....hair falls out. But I'm not bald yet. Don't worry, but if you feel like you want to be absolutely sure that everything is fine with you then go to a doctor. Good luck!

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aOetD While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.
