kamasutra is not a cult. it tells what sex is and various postures in intercourse. it is not a porn. a guide to many people who do not know ABC's of healthy sex.basically it is a sex education .

I'm not sure of what I think about the Kamasutra, but I will say that Hinduism is no more a cult than any other religion. You'll find cults everywhere, most of them don't have a negative connotation however. Ever been to a church? Ever been to a spaghetti dinner for a little league baseball team? Are you a sports fan? Guess what-you're either in a cult or have at least participated in some cult activities.

You will need to need to know religion and cults.
I should think that the Jews thought of the early Christians as a cult/movement before it grew into a religion.
Hinduism is a religion because it has gained social acceptance after thousands of years. It is about spiritualism much like Taoism and Kamasutra is the ancient art of love-making, something natural and a way of life.

The difference between a cult and a religion is that a religion has more people in it and you can admit you follow it in public without people looking at you like you are nuts.
So being a hindi is not more a cult than any other religion.
And the kamasutra is not required reading for that faith, so you are trying to connect negativly to something that really isn't part of the main tenants of that religion.

Either you have to have a semblance of knowledge of what u r asking about or just ask what it is. U can't ask in a half-baked way with pre conceived notions and imaginations. If my answer confuses u, get someone to help u. And try to read Kamasutra, and get an idea about what Hinduism is really about from real people. Then comeback and ask all u want to know!!!

Kamasutra is a branch of education that deals with sex.
You statement is as good as saying saying Christianity is a cult because sex education is taught in the West.

kamasutra is a sacred thing.
Long ago no one ever use to disgrace it. Only when the white people came and use it as pleasure and not for a sacred act then that is how it turned evil.
Indians are the only race that the majority doesn't disgrace its spiritual meaning by commiting fornication and aldutery.
