I'm wondering how the nozzle works on the F35 STOVL, does it use hydraulics? Gears? or some other way. I'm looking for specifics, photos would be best.

I believe it is hydraulics but I am not really sure. I think I have read that in the info package. Photos will be perhaps a bit difficult to obtain : the aircraft is not yet operationnal and this system is likely to be still classified
