I have hair down to my butt almost it was before but I cut off about 5 inches off. I was thinkin about gettin a perm but a loose one. I dye my hair at least 2 or 3 times a year and its been about 8 months since the last time i dyed it. Right now i think my natural hair color is auburn with natural blonde and red highlights.

you're hair sounds REALLY pretty but anyways you can try a fishtail braid which is easy it just takes some time and if you want to learn how to braid those then here's the link

and then there's a french braid and a messy bun and a french twist here's the link for instructions on that

hope I could help!!!!!

Getting a perm isn't a good idea for very long hair, such as yours. The chemicals in the perm stress the hair and you're going to finish up with split ends and multi problems. Dying hair makes it difficult to perm, and the combination is really tough, so why do it? There are some really great braided, twisted, and coiled styles for long hair - ask your hair stylist, who will probably know a couple of dozen that s/he's never had a chance to use because so few people have lovely long hair these days.

Don't get a perm. Everyone I know whose gotten one has said that it ruined their hair, and with really long hair, I think the damage it causes would be twice as bad. What you really need to do is cut a good foot off your hair. I had really long hair and I cut it pretty short (for me at least- right now it's about 6 or 7 inches past my shoulders). My hair was so much lighter, healthier, and shinier it was amazing. I got some layers and some side-swept bangs and it looks much better than before (if I do say so myself :). I took some getting used to, but now I love it.

Your wavy perm sounds like a GREAT idea, it's very now and it would look great with your length.
I don't know about color, although with fall coming up colors tend to go richer and darker and highlights tend to look out of place...

layer it- I used to have hair longer than yours (I cut it to shoulder-length though) and w/ my hair, i had naturally wavy, volumized hair, i have dark brown hair. I got it layered and flipped the ends out. My hair never looked better! I got so many complements! Good luck! =)

My hair is long and i can never find a cut that i like, so i got really good at twisting and knotting and using bobby pins. It lets me change my look as much as i want and it really isnt hard. just tskes creativity, hand eye coordination ,bobby pins and hair
