Sometimes people are curious to see if others know the answers too, or what other people's opinions are. Some people just want to find someone who agrees with them, like that proves they are right about something. But to be honest, I sometimes wonder too why people come here asking for example if it's wrong to do something and clearly intend to do it anyway, so I wonder what's the point in asking.

certain almost genuinely !!!!! every person who's conscious of me from 2007 in this talk board will bear in mind that i became a on a daily basis poster of question, some concept upsetting, some purely to create a particular reaction. when I first all started on the following which will be 3yrs come jan 2010 over 2 debts as I deleted my unique account after the first year via personal motives. i finished asking questions because of the overpowering crap that keeps to be printed as, others have stated right now strikes a good question off the web page. brilliant desires...Dave :)***

What does TOS stand for?
I ask questions of people, and already know the answer, to establish their thinking. There is no reason to do this if I know the person well but it is handy when you first meet them. I never let them know what I did however. Also it is useful when teaching children. Lawyers do this in the court room each and every day at each and every trial.

It is a thirst for the most sociallt accepted answer, everyone just wants to fit in and by asking a question the answers themself aren't as important as the reassurance. I think being anonymous helps too as maybe people are shy and wouldn't ask these questions of their family members or friends.

I often wouldn't ask a question unless I already knew the answer.
How can you know if the answers you receive are true, otherwise?
We have encyclopedias for knowledge. People just state things more simply and from a different viewpoint.

I have never asked a question on here that I don't know the answer too. That is why I ask the question. If I ever did in the future it is for validation or conformation for future reference just incase anybody was wondering.

Hhhhhhhhm good question...... Seriously, some make statements and think putting a question mark at the end makes them questions. There is nothing wrong with stating your opinion but that's more for blogs than Yahoo questions.

I would say validation, or simply, ignorance. We live in a society where people feel they have to be validated to verify their existence and decision making capability.

I think people do it for attention or for confirmation. I ask questions if I don't know the answer.
