How do I start barbequing?

I've never done it before, what do I need to know?

I have two, one is charcoal the other is gas.

If you are using a gas grill, you basically light it as you would a normal gas oven or stove. Just make sure your tank is filled. If you are using charcoal (which is what I do and consider real barbecue), get yourself an electric charcoal starter. Before plugging the coal starter in, place it on the grill and arrange the charcoal brickets around it so they touch the metal on the starter. You don't need a lot of charcoal. Plug in the charcoal lighter and wait until your coals begin to turn partially white. Then unplug and remove the starter. Distribute the coal around your grill so that you get even heat. Now you're ready to cook!

First, buy a barbeque. Buy proper utensils and good oven mitts. Buy charcoal and lighter fluid or self-staring charcoal. Read some BBQ cookbooks at you local library. Ask people who have experience. Choose a few simple recipes. Buy the food. Have company over and give it a try. Don't be disppointed is something is overdoen or underdone. Have fun.

First decide if you want meat or chicken or even some seafood. then marinade the thing you want to grill. There are many sauces recommended that you can find on some cooking website.

Then buy a grill (maybe the electrical grill is the easiest). And enjoy!!

Get a barbeque, light it, throw something on it, put some sause on, cook it till its done, eat it. Just fake it, no one will know the difference. with experience, you'll get better.
