The key to making someone else happy is to be happy yourself - I wouldn't bog yourself down with being so anxious about making him happy - it smells of desperation! You've been together for 4 yrs and you've asked how to make him love you more than he already does, which shows you are happy with where you are both up to in the relationship. I would take a step back from the relationship and think about what else you've both got going on in your lives, hobbies, interests, sports, socialising. Maybe you need to do something fun together or maybe you need to do something fun on your own, do a course, whatever makes you feel good about yourself. You bf loves you, if you become more happy, he will get the benefit of that which will make him more happy. After 4 yrs, you could be in a rut, so shake things up a bit!

egads, it MUST be all the toxins in the envoironment, in our drinking water! * * * Don't try to make him happy, it will only p i s s him off more! * * *
You cannot be responsible for someone else's moods, especially happiness! Only HE can make himself happy, and, if he is a moody person, and has gone into a funk, then he is the only one who can come out of it!
Unless the docs prescribe some meds, and THEN, watch out! Every eleventh hour, on the twelve hour meds, will be hell, and the sex thing will be dead, buried, and a figment of someones mind, (yours!). Was there for the entire decade of the 90's and part of the 80's, finally ending in a nasty divorce, that was, funnily, a mutual no-fault!
She has gone to RULE THE WORLD from 'on high', after stopping the meds, cold turkey, which led to the final divorce, and SHE WHO WOULD RULE now resides in N.C.!
But, thank you for asking, because you are a person of great compassion who would be a worthy mate to any real man!
Too bad there are so few! Glad there are so many great women out there, sorry that you will be frustrated!

1.Sex..more and different.(sorry, this has to be number 1)
2.Talk less. You don't have to say something every single second he is with in earshot.
3.Let things go. So he did not wash the bowl in the sink...who cares it's just a bowl, don't star world war 3 over it.
4.Do the tiny nice love things. Put a note and candy in his work clothes pocket. Make him coffee in bed. Wash his slippers and such
5.Go on more dates. Don't just sit around the house. Do things together.

I think you should talk to him and if its because he wants sex then tell him thats not what you want and if he doesnt accept it, leave him. Any guy who does not respect a womans desicion to stay a virgin should be dumped. If thats not the case then just talk to him and fix any problems that there are.

You can not make him, or anyone happy. This is not your job. His happiness is completely his responsibility. You need to do what you must to make yourself happy. This does not mean you don't keep your commitments. It simply means that we are each responsible for our own self and well being.

Try finding out what HE likes to do and either surprise him or come up with something on your own.
