I live in Japan and because Japanese people are not Christians they cant have a proper preist to conduct the ceremony. Because of this a lot of foriegn people become fake preists. It is legal and it pays 15 000yen per hour (75pounds) but do you think that it is morally right and that I should take the job?

The Japanese people recently have taken to having christian ceremonies as well as Buddist/Shinto ones. I think it is a bit strange myself, being a preist. Then again the money is good. I would see myself as a fraud though as I am not a practicing Christian.

Are all Japanese people not Christians? Or is it not recognised? If they are not Christians they do not need priests. However, is it morally right? hmmm...only you can answer that. Are you a christian? Do you believe in god? If you blessed a ceremony would you feel god in you? or would you feel like a cheat? People can be, in spirit, a priest without training. If you are asking this then surely you already know the answer.

People are Christians because they chose to believe something, not because of a ceremony. If you want to be a priest to minister to people, then that is one thing. However, that is not conveted in your message. It seems more like you think you'd like the money.

If you want to be a priest, you should study and actually become a priest. I am going to be doing that. In your own question, you referred to this path you're considering to be that of a 'fake' priest. That should tell you all need to know.

Being a priest is more than a job, so I do not think that unless u believe in christianity that u should become a priest and definately not a fake priest esp not for money

What? Only take the job after you pray about it & you are very
sincere about serving God 1st & the People 2nd. You mentioned
money. Is it paramount to you? You began critizing others for
being "Fakes", I find it ironic you sound similar.

Well, I viewed your 360* page, and off hand, I'd say you shouldn't be a priest, God will probably strike you dead. Do I think it is morally right to be paid to be a false priest? No.

No...

... the Japanese like to be Shinto.

Let them be their religion. Leave them alone. If you're going to be a priest, do it because you love your God, not because you love the money.

Absolutely NOT!

True Christians are ALL priests.

You would basically be lying to everyone and I can't think of someone being able to bear a lie as big as that on their conscience. But that's just me. Do what you think you should do.

Depends on whether your doing it for the right reasons. I am not remotely religeous, however would never dream of messing with religion merely for financial purposes.
End of the day, "Why are you doing it?"
