I don't think you have any reason to be alarmed, i know dogs will eat anything, and that's another reason that they have very strong stomaches.
I would like to know what the vet says..
Good luck!

These are gel/oil in a pill to help your heart keeping it ticking OK
, I would be more worried about the carpets and the kids getting splattered when Ol' duke lets loose. I looked up the ingredients and it will probably be harmless as dogs systems will reject bad stuff and make lot's O Poo. Don't be close to him and turn off the fans....
It should help his heart, and he's getting Vitamin E. I just worry about amount of oil. I think a night outside would be OK...

Wow, nine! Thats alot! My grandparents used to take them before they switched to the natural stuff because the old stuff gave them high cholesterol. I found the following info on a site:

"...celebrated with some kind of special food the vet gave us because Tilly, the silly dog, ate a bottle of fish oil pills she took off the counter. Boy does she stink! That girl can sure jump! And Tilly has to be in a cage for some of the time because she stinks like a truck of dead fish..."

Reading that, I don't think it will hurt her, but you should take it to the vet.

You can always make the dog puke. Give it 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide, and it will throw up in about 1 minute. I've had success getting my dog to to do it by pouring the peroxide over chips or cheetos. I'm not kidding about working fast; if you do this, do it outside or in the bathtub.

I had a dog that kept getting more and more creative about the place she would get into (her personal best was opening the fridge and eating EVERYTHING in there while I was at work). My vet told about the peroxide after my dog figured out the baby locks on the drawer when I had put my medications to keep them away from her.

I wouldn't be worried though I would be prepared to clean up a big mess, Those oil pills usually tend to cause Digestion issues in people. I'm not sure I would want to see the result on a dog. Just make sure he gets lots of water and has plenty of food.

It's a small dog so I'd say to be safe call the vet. Dogs are pretty tough when it comes to eating stuff, if it is only oil the dog will most likely be ok, it might be pooping funny for awhile.

I don't think this should be a problem. But wait and hear what the vet has to say. If your dog starts acting funny or his stomach is bothering him I would take him to the vet right away! Good luck and I hope things work out!

I think he may have diarrhea from the oil, but I really don't think it will be fatal or anything. I'm hardly an expert on the matter though and I would take the advice of your vet over anything you learn here

I wouldn't worry about it, but I would keep an eye on him. He will probably get the runs eating that many. His coat should be really shinny for a while lol.

Please keep all pill and liquid medications out of the reach of kids and animals. Good luck.
