I can answer from personal experience....When I speak the truth, and I base the truth on the teachings of Christ, the only ones who confront me in a hateful way are fundamentalist Christians..... They seem to be of the same spirit as the religious leaders who murdered Christ.
I suspect that religion was the world that Christ was referring to and not the people of the world, like Christians have interpreted that scripture to mean.

If you know for sure it is the truth-- speak it--------- don't worry about the rest of the world. It really doesn't matter what people think of you, you be proud, Most people do not want to know or hear the truth.

Yeah. Guess what? You're religion isn't the truth. You don't know its the truth all you have is some old book. So keep it to yourself please and stop acting all high and mighty.

Sometimes you have to lie. Or not mention things. Certainly not be overly honest with everyone. That's the way people are. "People are strange/when you're a stranger/faces look ugly/when you're alone".
