it sounds funny but heat from a match really works on any thing that bites you not to burn but holding close to feel it and you can see the puss come to the surface its been tried and works good.......

That is an histamic reaction to the bite . You need and anti-histamine to counteract it...Try a generic benadryl..a lotion for application and a pill ...
Note: this may well make you sleepy as this IS the active ingredient in most OTC sleep aids.

Tea tree oil is also helpful for the itch and inflammation...

Some over-the-counter hydrcortisone cream or ointment 1% should help. If the bite starts to get larger, has spreading redness, or has any drainage (pus) coming from it, you should see your doctor. If it is just itchy and irritating, the hydrocortisone cream will make that stop.

caladryl or mix 1 tsp meat tenderizer with a lil water to form a paste will take the itch out

put moisturizer on it and then cover it up so you don't touch it.
