I've been to several of the islands, and Curacao is my favorite. Not just an island destination, but a little country with its own culture, great food, and delightful, non-aggressive people. Stay at the Avila Beach hotel (simple, elegant, no TV, its own lagoon, great food, and walking distance to downtown) or Lion's Dive (more amenities, including water rentals and diving, but a bit remote -- great beach). The beaches on the south of the island have some of the best stands of staghorn and brain coral to be found anywhere (watch out for the current, it's a dicey 4 knots).
Day trips available to Bonaire.

Barbados is a great island with some of the most friendly people I have met. St. Lucia is the most beautiful island I have visited, check out the Jalousie plantation for a hotel, is fabulous!

Peter Island, BVI has a great harbor if you're bareboating, otherwise, try to get a ride from someone to the Baths...really neat swimming place.

Barbados by far, no contest, you're guaranteed to have a good time if you like parties, white sandy beaches, cruises,friendly people, cute guys (but for extremely hott men you need to go to St. Lucia)if you're a girl,and sexy girls if you're a guy.
