This portion of the scripture is proof that the Christians god doesn't exist, or at least doesn't believe in following the bible. Nice point.

There's actually a similar test described in the Bible, at 1 Kings 18: 19 and following: Elijah versus the Prophets of Baal. The story is that Elijah proposed a test in which each prophet would pray for his god to send fire to prove himself:
18:24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
In the story, of course, it was Elijah's god who sent the fire, while Baal failed the test.
This provides an obvious way for people who claim that there is evidence for the existence of the biblical god to demonstrate it. I don't remember ever seeing anyone do so, though. It would certainly be a straightforward biblically-endorsed way for Christians* to demonstrate their sincerity.
* Those who claim that it is "foolish" not to believe, anyway. Those who do have the strength of faith to admit that there is no evidence for their god's existence are obviously off the hook here, and I respect them for their honesty. But that doesn't seem to amount to many of the Christians I run into.

No, I do not believe you. This testing of God has existed since humanoids have been on the planet. I will do no such thing as to ask God to strike you with lightning. This is testing God, and I refuse to do it. Also, I will never ask Him to harm anyone.
I will, however, share something that offers proof of the existence of God. It is not in the Bible, it is in Baha'i Writings.
PROOFS AND EVIDENCES OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD
One of the proofs and demonstrations of the existence of God is the fact that man did not create himself: nay, his creator and designer is another than himself.
It is certain and indisputable that the creator of man is not like man because a powerless creature cannot create another being. The maker, the creator, has to possess all perfections in order that he may create.
Can the creation be perfect and the creator imperfect? Can a picture be a masterpiece and the painter imperfect in his art? For it is his art and his creation. Moreover, the picture cannot be like the painter; otherwise, the painting would have created itself. However perfect the picture may be, in comparison with the painter it is in the utmost degree of imperfection.
The contingent world is the source of imperfections: God is the origin of perfections. The imperfections of the contingent world are in themselves a proof of the perfections of God.
For example, when you look at man, you see that he is weak. This very weakness of the creature is a proof of the power of the Eternal Almighty One, because, if there were no power, weakness could not be imagined. Then the weakness of the creature is a proof of the power of God; for if there were no power, there could be no weakness; so from this weakness it becomes evident that there is power in the world. Again, in the contingent world there is poverty; then necessarily wealth exists, since poverty is apparent in the world. In the contingent world there is ignorance; necessarily knowledge exists, because ignorance is found; for if there were no knowledge, neither would there be ignorance. Ignorance is the nonexistence of knowledge, and if there were no existence, nonexistence could not be realized.
It is certain that the whole contingent world is subjected to a law and rule which it can never disobey; even man is forced to submit to death, to sleep and to other conditions -- that is to say, man in certain particulars is governed, and necessarily this state of being governed implies the existence of a governor. Because a characteristic of contingent beings is dependency, and this dependency is an essential necessity, therefore, there must be an independent being whose independence is essential.
In the same way it is understood from the man who is sick that there must be one who is in health; for if there were no health, his sickness could not be proved.
Therefore, it becomes evident that there is an Eternal Almighty One, Who is the possessor of all perfections, because unless He possessed all perfections He would be like His creation.
Throughout the world of existence it is the same; the smallest created thing proves that there is a creator. For instance, this piece of bread proves that it has a maker.
Praise be to God! the least change produced in the form of the smallest thing proves the existence of a creator: then can this great universe, which is endless, be self-created and come into existence from the action of matter and the elements? How self-evidently wrong is such a supposition!
These obvious arguments are adduced for weak souls; but if the inner perception be open, a hundred thousand clear proofs become visible. Thus, when man feels the indwelling spirit, he is in no need of arguments for its existence; but for those who are deprived of the bounty of the spirit, it is necessary to establish external arguments.

you poor man....why so bitter? Prayer does not give us the power to kill people whenever we feel the need. Do you know how many people would just drop down dead? What a foolish concept. You are fighting so strongly against God, and yet he is working in your heart at this moment. How do I know this? You claim Christianity is absurd so why do you bother with it at all? Just let it go. Or can you? It pulls at you for some reason you can't explain. The reason people are so against Christianity above any other religion is because its the truth. Why would Satan bother with the other religions, his one goal is to turn us away from the truth, and I pray friend, that he does not win with you. In fact I will pray for you but not in the way that you want me to. God will be there wether you believe in him or not.

for prayer to work, it has to be
1. in the perfect will of God
2. in God's timing not yours.
God may want you to get some sense and does not want you dead yet..be glad for that
also... if you keep this up, he just might do it at a later time, when you think the challenge is over with.... God plays by His own rules, not yours.
If you continue to mock God, and mockery is predicted in the bible as existing in the alst days before the return of Christ, you will end up in hell, and you can have all the lightening bolts you want. You will be there for a long time..

We serve a Mighty God and also a loving God. God is a Father just like a dad in home wouldn't want evil to come to his children, God also wouldn't harshly punish us everytime we speak aimlessly just like the question you have just put out accross.
God wants all men to be saved that is He is will, God gives life but the devil is the killer, destroyer and thief. That's why Jesus came to defeat the devil and disarm him.
The same bible says do not put the God your God under test.
Anyway you are calling for fire and fire will come to you. However I kindly ask you to repent of your sturbonnes and ask God to forgive you and give you a much better life than what you have and to take away your sturbboness.
Amen

Madonna didn't beat around the bush like you, she went out into a thunderstorm and cursed God and told Him to strike her, see the difference? She had a set. Do you honestly believe God, the maker of the universe is a robot, goody dispenser we command. God gives to each one according to their needs, God's greatest gift sometimes is not answering prayers. I prayed for more than a month God would bring myself and this girl together. He never did, but ten years of happy marriage to the woman I'm with now makes me realize, what I was asking for wasn't what God wanted me to have.

If God can send his Son to earth to be crucified on a cross, surely he can allow you to post jeers and insults at him on the internet...
And what are you doing reading this? You're supposed to be outside waiting for that thunderbolt. Not that the Bible ever says what you implied that it does.
You sir, not God, are the liar.
Good day.

Hahaha, your just silly! It does not say God will give you anything you ask for end of story. Their is alot more to it than that. Intentions are totally important for one thing and an intension to kill you is not a pure intention and God would never bless such a prayer. Nobody with a real understanding of God cares if you continue to work against God, that is your own choice. What you don't understand is that to work against God is to work against your self!

That is not true, and no you cannot prove whether God is real or not. Thou shall not tempt the Lord. Why should He do what you say??! He has the power here, NOT YOU. In any case, I pray a thunderbolt does strike you! I think you need to quit thinking that you ARE God.
