It doesn't matter if you're ready. The only thing that matters is when the baby is ready. Have a care for your child. Don't you want what's best for your child? You seem to be selfish in your thoughts. I hope you rethink your behavior before the baby comes. Being a good parent leaves no room for selfishness.

That's the F U C K I N G stupidist thing I've ever heard! Don't you know that it doesn't matter how ready you are the babies not. There are a lot of risk when a baby is born early, even at 8 months. I delivered at 32 wks. and my baby still had to stay in the hospital for over a month in an incubator. For someone to purposely put their baby at risk because they are anxious is irresponsible. You shouldn't be having kids if you don't know that. Plus who's to say something bad wouldn't happen to your baby if you tried to go into premature labor, wouldn't you just want to die! There is a reason you shouldn't deliver until at least 36 wks. If that wasn't the case women wouldn't carry that long and just pop it out whenever they felt like it.

8 months is a dangerous time to try and force labour, despite you feeling ready the babys not!
I understand how u feel, its uncomfortable by the time ur 8months gone, feet and elbows everywhere and the hot weather doesnt ever make it any easier but at the moment your making your self sound selfish, because of your own discomfort, u want to have the baby now!
I cant imagine you are really selfish about your childs health over your discomfort though so sorry...just grin and bear it for another 4 weeks after all u've done 8 months, so whats 1 more month!!
p.s...it bloody hurts to give birth, u will soon want it to stay where it is!!
Good luck xx

The baby will come when its ready - not much you can do otherwise. I've tried it all when my first daughter was late (bumpy roads, raspberry tea, jogging, etc) most are old wives tales that dont work.
When you are closer (AT LEAST 37 weeks, preferably 40 weeks, you dont want to compromise your baby's health) try sex to trigger contractions, and also try accupressure - a few inches up from your ankle and between your thumb & forefinger. Those are the only things that have been known to work on occasion

I know how you feel - Im 39 weeks and cant take it anymore either!

The baby will be born when his/her lungs are ready. Delivering prematurely could cause this baby to go into respiratory failure and being on a respirator or in intensive care. Not fair is it. The baby could also wind up with cerebral palsy as a result of the respiratory failure for lungs that are not ready and with mental retardation. Not fair either. So be patient. I know you're tired of the heartburn and the peeing at night and the swollen hands and feet and being short of breath. But do you really want your baby to wind up in intensive care?

Why would you want the baby to come that early??? It could DIE if it is born to early. If it does survive it could be sick and have to stay in ICU for awhile. Stop thinking about yourself and think about the baby. If you can't do that then you shouldn't be a mother. The baby will come when when HE/SHE is ready, not YOU!

No offense, but that sounds a little selfish.
I can imagine that it must suck being pregnant...but you know what sucks more? Being born a month early becasue your Mom didn't like being pregnant.
Just let it work itself out. Next month, it'll be over, and, God willing, you'll have a healthy baby, which is something alot of people would give their life for.

you dont want your baby to come early, mine came 3 weeks early and I wont tell you what I did. But I will tell you that him coming early caused problems. he had breathing problems at birth, he didn't have a latch, he had jaundice, we had to stay in the hospital for five days because of my stupid mistake, also, babies that come early aren't as advanced as full term babies. if you care about your unborn child you will wait untill he/she is ready
