When my hair was long and brown I used to straighten it by dampening it and ironing it with a steam iron on the ironing board under a low setting, and pulling the hair straight across the board. It was the least expensive way I could think of to get the job done.

There are straighteners in the stores (it's the opposite of permanent waving, but still needs the fixor lotion when you're done straightening it). You have to be careful (just as in permanenting, that you first check to see if you are alergic to the product, and then treat the hair gently as it could be overstraightened just as the opposite can be overpermanented)

If anything is done "over" (overstraightened or overpermanented) then you get spongy hair that will do nothing at all.

When done, use a conditioner after you shampoo your hair. I use Flex conditioner..to put some strength back into your hair.

I have extremely frizzy and curly hair..

The best method that I have found to work is..
1) shampoo and condition your hair with a product that states it is for straight hair (I use "Sunsilk Straighten up") and once a week use a clarifying shampoo to rinse your hair of all the products... (I would recommend "Pantene")
2)Let your hair towel dry for awhile but don't let it dry completely
3)While your hair is still damn.. put "Regis Frizz Free Serum" all over your hair.. and since I have extremely frizzy hair.. I also put a few drops of "Biosilk silk Therapy" at the ends of my hair..
4)I section my hair.. then blow dry (start from the bottom to the top of your hair) using a cermanic hair brush and an "ionic cermanic blowdryer" .. Sally's Beauty Supply has a really good one
5)Then spray a product to protect your hair from the heat.. I use "Proclaim Hot Thermal Styler" it's only $3.99 at Sally's Beauty Supply.. after spraying.. use a cermanic straightener.. don't go cheap on the straightener.. trust me it's worth the extra money.. I use a $40 one called "Jilbere Procelain" it's a gold plated one ..and it works miracles.. (it works better than most $100+ straighteners that I have used) I usually turn the straightener on the highest heat setting on before I go take my shower..it makes the process go faster and works better (be carefully of the heat.. you can burn yourself)
6) if you want extra shine.. evenly spread a thin layer of Biosilk Silk Therapy..
7)ENJOY!!!

It might seem like a lot of steps.. but the more you do it.. the faster it becomes.. and this is the only method that works for me..

I only wash my hair every other day.. the natural oils help keep my hair healthier.. I felt really dirty at first.. but you will get use to it.. plus it's less time you have to spend on your hair.. :)

Look at the Sally's sale ads.. they usually have sales where if you buy the Straighter you can get the blow dryer free.. etc.. they have some good deals..

DON'T ever use a iron on your hair.. it damaged my hair and it took almost a year and several hair cuts to fix it..

Don't forget to trim your hair every 2 to 3 months..

Like what the person before said, you can get a straightner and straighten your hair everyday. This method can be tedious and not efficent since your hair would just be curly again the next time you wash it. There is a great alternative though;

You can easily get this done at most salons, its Japanese Straightening also called Magic Straight. I dont know how its done but it very efficent and your hair comes your hair comes out SO straight and shiny(I've had many family members and friends getting this done). AND it stays like that until your hair grows out. The down side is that it's a bit pricey, starting from $200, depending on how much hair you have.

Wow, that is some awesome straight hair. I have curly hair myself and love mine straight...this last week I bought a new device, I was pretty surprised by how good it worked. It is called infiniti hair designer by ConAir. I would also recommend ceramic flat irons, I have had good experiences with them! It also helps to find just the right product to help me keep the frizzes under control. I am still looking for just the right product.

Get a ceramic hair straightner. I have really thick, wavy hair, and I spent all this $ buying cheap ones at Longs and such. They never worked on my hair!! The one I have is called InfraShine, and I love it. My hair gets perfectly straight, and if you didn't know me, you would never guess how curly my it is!!! :) However, if you really want your hair super straight, good quality irons cost anywhere from $100-$250, and most of them can reach 400 degrees. Good luck!!

That looks like weave, but for a natural straight look get a flat iron and some spray. The spray makes it shine while the flat iron makes it straight!

go to your local Sally's or beauty store. Target has great sales for flat irons too. Good luck and i hope it turns out beautiful. (try to get a moisterizer of some kind for your hair(that way it won't dry out from the heat.(have a friend or your mom to help you.

Ceramic straightening iron. Make sure you use a syrum before each time you use the iron on your hair. I use Vadal Sasoon - its a good iron - not expensive.
