If you gave them over the counter meds for tapes, it doesn't work, so they probably still have tapeworms. You need to take a fecal sample to your vet to determine if they in fact do still have tapeworms. It only has to be one fecal, because if one kitten has tapes, it's a good chance they all do. The vet will prescribe the correct medication to finally rid the little ones of the tapes.

BTW, kittens at this age do tend to eat alot, they are growing rapidly now then they ever will. Consider free feeding them, leave dry kitten food out for them, in that way, they can nibble when they are hungry and gorge themselves on food that is given throughout the day.

You should be concerned when your kittens don't eat, good luck!

First of all...make sure they're on a good quality food and feed them meals (don't just set food down everytime the dish is empty). The container should tell you how much food they should each get per day...divide that total into 2-3 meals per day. If you feed them good quality food (Hills, Iams, Eukanuba, Purina One or Pro Plan, Natural Choice, Felidae, etc) for kittens, they will get more nutrients and less filler...they'll be hungry less often and poop less often. Avoid foods with colored pieces...they're not as healthy. It wouldn't hurt to have a fecal sample checked again...some worms can cover up other types of worms...they could have tapeworms still or another worm. If you're seeing anything that resembles rice in their stool, on their backsides, or anywhere their butts have been (assuming they're not eating whole rice), they probably still have tapeworms.

Kittens are like babies and eat a lot. Often times every couple of hours. However, since you said they were being treated for tapeworm, then it is important that you take your kitten to the vet to be checked.

Good Luck

First you have to cool down. Take deep breathes. Tell the kittens it is going to be ok. Take the food away and let them drink some yummy cold water. Book an appointment with you vet or take them to the vet immidiatly. He or she can help you. They might just be hungry because the other kittens are eating some of the food which makes them get less. Hope they feel better! :)

Take them to the vet. They probably still have the tapeworm and they go to the bathroom a lot because they are eating so much.

It's normal for a kitten or cat to eat what seems like a lot to us. They nibble all day...they don't eat what we would consider a full meal and then wait 6 hours and eat again. If you ask your vet, he will tell you to set food out all day for the fur ball to eat from. Its perfectly normal. You also need to get the kitty to the vet for the tape worm problem. If you dont, the cat will only eat more because the worm actually eats the food going into the cats belly.

all kittens eat what they want, but what i was told is a cat will only eat when they are hungry, no more. its normally dogs that overeat. if all kittens are doing it and theyve been wormed they should only eat no more than half a tin each a day sometimes more as my cats did. but if your that worried i would seek medical advice. you can always tell with a kittens poop if something is really wrong.

I think the tapeworms are the ones making them hungry, they steal all the nutrients that they take in!! If not that, then the medication is probably making their stomachs acidic.

Don't feed them so much. A animal will keep eating if the food is available to it. Just slow down on giving it food and it starts to get real skinny than speed up on giving it food
