It depends on the purpose of the cheesecloth in your recipe. You sometimes can use a coffee filter. A fabric store will also have cheesecloth.

You can find cheesecloth in the cooking utensil section of your regular supermarket. It usually comes in a square plastic bag. It's not very expensive.

Any grocery store should have it, and any store that sells kitchen stuff. For some purposes, a large fine-mesh strainer will substitute. For other purposes, any clean cloth will do, like t-shirt material. Don't use anything that sheds or pills, like a towel.

Hmm,
you can buy it at fabric/craft stores, and some grocery stores. If it is for draining something, sometimes you can use a clean dishtowel, or a new pair of pantyhose (rinsed first).
