It could be the type of veggies, like dark leafy greens, broccoli and garlic and cabbage can give bad gas...that is why there's beano and other products to aid for gas relief...but Vegetables do give off gas, especially eaten raw, for some reason.
"Raw veggies give us gas because we do not digest them as well as cooked veggies."
"Gas can be caused by any of the following:
Swallowing air while eating.
Eating foods that are difficult to digest, such as fiber. If you recently introduced fiber into your diet, having gas may be temporary. Give it a little time. Your body may adjust and stop producing gas.
Eating foods that you cannot tolerate -- for example, if you have lactose intolerance and eat dairy products.
Irritable bowel syndrome -- a chronic form of stomach upset that gets worse from stress.
Malabsorption (when your body cannot absorb or digest a particular nutrient properly, often accompanied by diarrhea).
Antibiotics. "

If you burp a lot then that means you are eating your food too fast. Just take your time and chew slowly then you should feel better. If you still burp after eating slowly then consult this with your family doctor because there is a possibility that you might have bacteria in your stomach.

what do you drink? do you swallow a lot of air?
and actually, i believe that being a vegetarian might have something to do with it. organic foods, and stuff like that can cause a bit of gas. (unless it's against your religion,) i'd try eating some other stuff (meat...) for a week, and see what happens.

You either are eating something that is giving yourself gas, or maybe you eat and drink too fast and are swallowing air.
