It can be.
Your best bet is to hang out with your friends and don't hesitate to tell teachers if you've been physically harrassed or bullied. Don't buy into that b.s. about never "ratting out" another kid; most adults in school are committed to making the students feel safe. Bullies are NOT your friends and do not deserve your protection.
Also, you should defend yourself, but don't get into a fight unnecessarily. You'll just get yourself suspended. Be smart and get the other guy suspended.

I think middle school is middle in size, and it doest come with any texture. I think the "rough" depends on how much effort was put into your studies, your determination to make it smooth, your willingness, your heart, your mind. Simplicity sake, its up to you alone to define how you want it to be. I sincerely believe that everything about life is rough too. Nothing is simple. This is a harsh world. Nobody will want to take care of you.

i guess? you have more homework, more classes, more projects, PE, you have to study a lot. but you do have more freedom.. you dont have to walk in lines, more food & snacks, (better food too), etc...
