How is sin possible if people don't know the rules?
If the goal is for everyone to be in heaven, wouldn't it be better for Christians to keep their religion to themselves?
Please answer all 3 questions as briefly & clearly as possible if you want to be considered for "Best Answer."
Thanks.

Please do not preach to me. It is a waste of your efforts and will be marked as a "bad answer" so I won't even see it once I determine you are preaching.

To the Rev (1st Answer):
On the contrary, Jesus came to provide a means for sinners to get to heaven. The laws were already established long before he arrived.
Your version contradicts all Christian doctrine with which I'm familiar.

In other words, Jesus wasted his time? Humans had free will, choice, rules to live by and people to teach them long before Jesus showed up.
If his purpose wasn't to provide a means for sinners to attain heaven, he served no purpose.

To lifeinheaven:
I really want to give someone best answer. And, I prefer giving it to people who disagree with me.
But, I will not give it to someone who preaches rather than answering the question.
Preaching doesn't bother me at all, but it will disqualify a person from receiving best answer, or, having his answer read by me if it is more than two sentences.
If you read my latest question, it explains why. I've heard it before and have no reason to hear it or read it again.

1. By spreading their word they spread their agenda.
2. It's not; that's why they must impress upon each person they can that they are a sinner.
3. The goal is for everyone to be Christians on Earth; we both know there is no Heaven.

1. Christians "spread the word" because what Jesus taught was mercy, justice, love and forgiveness. These things were needed in His day and ours as well.
2. It is not possible to sin if one does not know the rules. But we are all given a conscience that tells us right from wrong. Whenever we do something that we know is wrong, we sin.
3. The goal is not for everyone to be in heaven. The goal is to make this world as close to heaven as possible. The way we do this is by "spreading the word". See the answer to question 1 for what this means.

I think I understand why you asked this question.
We spread the Gospel because Jesus asked us to do so. If you found the well in the desert, would you keep that life saving discovery from the other people? That would be selfish.
Sin is possible because we are not perfect even when we know what is perfect. He wants us to recognize our sins and repent from them. He can clean us from our sins. We get saved only by the grace and mercy of God.
Gospel is not meant to be kept to ourselves. Jesus loves us all. He wants us to spread the word. We are going to be judged by how much information we had available. I a not going to take a change that anyone of my friends would not make it to heaven because I kept my discovery to myself. I will take so many people with me I can. I cannot change people's hearts, God can. I plant seeds, and I run errands for my Lord. I am His cheerful servant.

Regarding your Disclaimer:
Your question(s) is/are NOT based on General Christian Doctrine.. it is based on your personal comprehension of the actual wording and your opinion/belief system...
Question #1 Answer:
Christians spread the word of God because we are asked to, in the bible.. we are also taught how to spread the word. As Christians, it is the least we can do and an honor to do this as Jesus Gave his life to spare our souls from an eternity seperated from God.
God does not automatically allow all those who have never heard the word of God, or Jesus, whichever you prefer, to go to heaven.
He sends an intercessor at the time of death to those that have never heard the word, to teach them and to give them a choice.. to spend an eternity WITH God (Heaven) or an eternity seperated from God (Hell).
Question#2 Answer:
Sin is doing an action that results in turning away from God, or God's way. I answered this in question #1. If you have never been given the word of God, you will be given an intercessor, information and a choice.
Everyone is judged on judgement day because when Judgement day occurs EVERYONE will have heard the word of God and will have made their choice (via Exposure to the word in life or on Intercession at the time of death).
So, by your definition of "knowing the rules", at Judgement day, everyone will know the "rules" and will have made their choice.
Question #3 Answer:
The "goal" as you describe is NOT to have "Everyone" in Heaven. The "goal" as you word, is to give everyone a CHOICE.
The choice being spend eternity With (Heaven) God or Without (Hell) God.
Not really concerned with being your "best answer". I just hope that one day you really take seriously the answers people are giving you and that you make an educated decsion. I hope too that the decision that you have already made isn't your final one unless you find an eternity Without God appealling.

Hello my friend i am also an atheist, I dont believe in any of this but i do believe in morals and ethics. To answer your question, christians spread the word because if someone doesnt repent they dont go to heaven. So they must be aware that they can be safed... One can feel guilty and never know they can be forgiven just by going to a priest, this is why they spread the word of god..

i am a catholic and my answers are based on my opinion:
1. why would they (who never heard of Jesus) want go to heaven?... they should not believe in heaven in the first place.... no one knows heaven unless they believe in God.
2. "sin" is possible because everyone knows the rule...
those who believe in God should know and follow the rules of God if their purpose in life is to be with Him in Heaven when the right time comes.
and the non-believers, whether they like it or not, should know and follow the rule of the law here on earth... ;)
3. that's the reason why Christians spread the word of God. because they want EVERYONE in heaven ;)

First of all, what happens in your first question just doesn't happen in normal situations, and normal stuff happens a lot, so we need to prevent people from going to hell by spreading the word. Second of all, a sin is like a crime. Even if you don't know the law you just broke, you're still in trouble. Third of all, your third question suggests that if you want everyone to go to heaven, that you should let everyone go to hell. That makes no sense. In fact, I can tell that you hardly studied christianity, and even if you did, you were unable to think because your questions show no logic or reasoning, save for your second question, which has the bare minimum of proof that you have a tiny bit of the ability to think, but shows that you don't know much knowledge-wise. The picture of you in your profile suggests that you are middle-aged, yet you show the intelligence and wisdom of a baby with dumpitis, a rare condition that greatly reduces one's ability to think with what used to be common sense. Seriously, dumpitis is real. I actually know someone with dumpitis, and I will only refer to him as what I always refer to him as: Dumpus. Other symptoms of dumpitis are being oddly shaped (both head and body), really thin (observation of Dumpus shows that this may be related to anorexia, as Dumpus only eats one strawberry for lunch), and obsession with the color yellow. I am not saying that you have dumpitis, for your picture suggests otherwise (your head is NOT oddly shaped), but you seem to have the thinking power of someone with dumpitis, which, like the original victim, are also called "dumpuses."

Not everybody goes to heaven.Only those who accept Jesus Christ as their lord and Savior. There are exceptions such as the age of accountability. However,I am not God,and I will never make an absolute statement to that effect.Meaning that I know for a fact that everybody is going to hell. The reason I spread the word of God, is to give hope to my fellow man,so that he may find peace as I do.That he may come to know Jesus as I do,and fill that space inside. Also that his name his found in the book of life. That he not end up forever separated from Jesus Christ.
Sin is possible because of Adam and Eve,we now live in a fallen world.God gave us a conscience to know right from wrong. If you don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you will not be aware of sin.For this world and everything in it is sin.Abnormalities in nature bring forth the existence of sin.We are born into sin by original sin.
No,Jesus works through us to show non-believers his Spirit.God shows himself through his followers.Just the same way as we know the father in heaven through Jesus Christ. How can people get to know Jesus but by knowing us?How do you know how President Clinton is as a man, except by watching interviews with his family.
God Bless
P.S. No-one can call them self a true atheist unless he was a
(god) himself!~~~like do you know how many hairs are on a yak?
that is why I say you are agnostic because you cannot prove God doesn't exsist.
P.P.S It makes no sense to preach to you because we shall not cast our pearls before swine so they may trample upon us,however,if you feel so insecure before people preaching upon you, than you have a personal problem my friend, because as an atheist;words cannot trouble a person who does not believe.

This question isn't based on facts.....Because none of us, know whether,or not, they went to heaven, not knowing Jesus....In which this IS why christian's do indeed go and teach&tell, about our Jesus, who went to the cross for our sins.....So, we can ask for forgiveness, and Repent........turn from our sins, and live Godly lives...while on earth, as much as possible....We are all sinners, until we know Jesus, and Gods Laws......We are born of the "Sinful-Nature" and until we are of "Accountable-Age" to know "Right from Wrong" those young children do go to Heaven should they pass before they are of "Countable Age" and otherwise, they then get saved, by saying the Sinners Prayer, and then go on too be "Suberged" in the water babtism, and batised in the Holy-Spirit, inwhich, they then receive guidance, as to how to live a "Right" life, from the Holy-spirit's convictions, they will then receive "Spiritual-knowledge" thereafter........And begin to walk and live the Utmost Awesome, Spirit-filled, walk of life, and "Life-Everlasting" which is (Heaven) Life Here-after....... You cant go to Heaven, if you dont know about Jesus, and get saved, no matter how Kind & caring you are........ The wide & narrow road to Heaven, is not built from "Good intentions"........

1. We are asked to spread the word (Mark Chapter 16)
2. They will be judged upon the works they have done to themselves and each other.
3. No that would be self serving and not doing the work of God. We are told to do something for God. To serve man's own needs is not glorifying God and only glorifying man.
