I work out with a buddy of mine. He spends more time checkin out every girl that walks by than he does pumping iron!! i always tell him that the girls their do not want to be gawked at...am I wrong, do you go to the gym to pick up on the opposite sex?? I think that this a pipe dream of his. Do ladies check out guys as much as the guys check them out?? Have you ever picked someone up at a gym.....

In between sets I check out the guys. But I hate in when one of the toads make it so obvious they are checking me out and get in my space. It's obvious I'm there to work out since I have my headphones on to tune them out and they can tell by looking at me--- I've got a strong healthy body from working out many years that I'm there to work out...Your friend is acting like , (what we call him under our breathe , or in the women's locker room ) a dick. who is an A hole. The gym is not a meat market to check out the girls. We pick up on guys like your friend and label them A HOLES! We're more likely to give a guy the time of day or a smile if he doesn't bother us when we're working out..

If I go to the gym, I'm definitely going for the workout. But it does help pass the time to watch people. I wouldn't have a problem with meeting a nice guy. I don't mind someone checking me out as long as they're subtle about it. Staring is not cool. My guy friend also goes to work out, but has picked up a few women over the years. If your friend is going mainly to meet women, he's going about it the wrong way. He need to quit pumping iron and sign up for an aerobics class.

Some people go the gym to check others out and to be checked out. I personally find nothing wrong with that. I love to watch a sexy man work out.

My main reason for going to the gym is to work out.
Since people-watching is one of my favorite sports, I do notice people. People that I'm attracted to, and not attracted to.
Someone staring is not cool; I'm there to work out, and not be stared at.
Of course, I think it depends upon who you are and why you're there about how much attention you want and in what way... and I think your friend would get farther if he tried normal human conversation vs. staring.

I do check out girls its only normal for a guy but in a matter that I wont get noticed or caught you know what I mean

its not like that i go to the gym to get a hook with those guys...nu uh! but if there is a cute guy ofcourse ill be checking him out, but even there is i wont stare at him.
As myself, its ok if there is a guy look at me for a glance at the gym, but i refuse to be gawked at. If he really atracted to me, he can come after we finish...right? it's way more polite.

some guys just don't have any sense of class or decency. I can't help looking myself a lot of times but I don't just blatanly stare with my tounge wagging. some guys do just that though, and it's not very cool. Tell him what a douche bag he is being.
