if he's shy, as you have mentioned, then the implication is that he wants to but is not doing it. Grrreat.

Make it (holding hands & kissing) special and not just routine. You never know, you might be so lucky to have found the love of your life. Take a walk at night and hold his hand while you are deeply engrossed in a conversation laced with love from top to bottom. Lay your head on his shoulder sometime, maybe pick a movie that both of you wud like to watch, and gently kiss him on the cheek (while holding hands) and whisper your love lines.
Am sure he would come around. My total point is that there still could be people (which is good), who would consider physical touch as a very high form of intimacy and would be looking for some signs of an exceptionally great romance. If this is the case, pray it is, you have been blessed.

Well all of this stuff comes as you're both ready for him. Gosh i feel like Dr.Phil on here. lol
Be patient with him.
Or take the initiative yourself but try to be cool about it. Take it one step at a time to see how he reacts. You don't wanna freak him out or make him feel too uncomfortable. And i dont know how old you are so......
I would prolly stick with the being patient with him thing. Or talk with him about how you feel.

Awww I had the same problem. I gave my boyfriend his first kiss hug and everything. How I got my b/f to do it, is for a while I grabed his hand first I started the kiss and everything. After a while he started just doing it on his own. I guess showing them its ok to just do it when you want to will make them do it with out asking.

More than likely as he gets more comfortable with you he will do these things on his own. But until then be playful about it and hold HIS hand, and kiss HIM and say something like, I like it when you hold my hand/ kiss me. Positive reinforcement...works miracles. Whatever you do try not to make him more self concious about it, just let it happen naturally.
