Definately... how else will you meet new people. He may turn out to be a schlub but he has friends that may pan out to be more. Besides after high school you will find that there is no social groups other than where you work.
Skaters and preps working side by side.

Why would social group matter? If you really like him and you feel like you are ready to ask him out just do it. Like in a movie when the friends tell him or her not to go with them, but they do and it turns out alright. Just go and ask him out. However don't feel really bad if he says no because you should see if he shows emotion too.

Just talk to him and maybe ask him to meet you somewhere for lunch, just to talk and see what develops. That way there is no pressure. It's just lunch. You will get to know him better and then he'll have an opportunity to ask YOU out. OH...tell him you'll treat the first time...next time is on him.

i definitely recommend to all chics if you like a guy ask him out as guys often dont wanna be turned down so they dont ask but if hes a skater he might be gay lol

well since you are not in the same social group, you should find out if he is interested in you and then if he is then ask him to teach you to skate since you know he is the best......and maybe he will ask you out....
