hi as i open word document there are also open one hidden file same name as filename also contain ~$ in begin of file name.i wan't to know that it is virus or not.

no its not a virus, its a file that microsoft word save it as safe recover for all your work, its saves this file evey five minutes in default, in case you lost electricity you don't loose all your work.

Is it a Microsoft Word document ?
Most likely it is a backup file but you don't give enuf info. to know for sure.
Can you see / read the hidden file? Are the file sizes the same?
How do you know it is a hidden file?
Did you go to Tools / Folder Options and check "Show Hidden Files" ?
Most likely not a virus but there is not enuf info. to be sure.
If you have Windows XP, clk on the top bar that says Name / File Size etc. and put a check in "Date Created"
Are they the same date?

It is a temp document incase you don't save your file and a power outage hits.

scan the document with you anti-virus scanner!!!!!!!
