Lycine. Buy it at the vitamin counter at your drug store or vitamin store. 500 mg a day will stop a cold sore. Let it dry and don't pick! Just cover with makeup until it naturally falls off! The best thing is to take the Lycine when the cold sore starts as a tingly feeling on the lips.

A cold sore is a herpes simplex virus for which the doctor can give you a prescription. This would probably be the best thing. It is contagious! If you don't want to go to the doctor try putting hydrogen peroxide on it to heal it.

Go to the pharmacy, they have new products that are amazing. DO NOT cover them with a bandage EVER. My daughter did that and wound up with an ugly secondary infection that left a BIG scar.
