I've notice most of my friends drinking bottled water or energy drink these days. Is Coke dead?

Sugar drinks are on a decline. Energy drinks are the fad right now. Coke is dead - at least for now, but it will make a comeback when the fads die.

Health and nutrition is becoming kind of a fad (not a bad one, but one none the less). So its almost fashionable to be seen with some mineral water and/or energy drink. Its almost like, look at me I just had a killer work out!!! Bu they probably still drink Coke at home or in restaurants. It is something that has lived through many fads over the years, and probably will continue to.

Hey I'm drinking one right now!! Cheers!

No. Though more and more people are drinking non-carbonated beverages, Colas still have a huge marketshare. Coca-Cola is the premier brand of cola around the world and they will try real hard not to lose that status.

It's my father's favorite drink... I don't think coke is dead. Some of the dinks you've mentioned are produced by coca-cola. Long live Coca cola

it is not the same as it used to taste in the 1950's and 1960's. But it is not dead. But back then the sodas had a real kick to them. They would burn your throat. But, man were they good. You younger people will never know how good they USED to taste.
