It' my friend's birthday and she is a wine lover. She loves white zinfindels and white wines. I want to get her a bottle of wine (not too expensive) that comes in a bottle with a cool design. If the bottle is unique, she'll keep the bottle and use it as a vase. Any suggestions?

Try Moselland "lighthouse" series... white Riesling... awesome wine.. cool bottle! Abt $13-$15

Or Voss Pinot Grigio... that is a contemporary bottle. $9 - $12

Go to your local grocery store. Most of the modestly-priced wines are similar in taste so choose by the looks of the bottle. Most Zinfandels come in a clear bottle, so you can see the pretty pink color. You might have to go with a white wine (usually in a green or brown bottle), though cheap white wine is harder to select, the taste varies greatly. Look in the price range of $10 - $12. You should be safe.

Consistently clean and fresh this verdicchio offers up the standard citrus, mineral almond notes on the nose and in the mouth with slightly oily textures at the back end. Dry, round, elegant. Its light, lemony mineral finish is just what the doctored order when you need a flavourful but light wine. Think clams and or mussels here.

Check this out fits all your criteria and the wines not bad either
