Long story short, we started high and ended low, and now I am grieving like I never have before in my life. I'd do anything to end this unbearable pain. I'm a Christian, so some Christian advice would be best, although help will be accepted from everyone who is willing to give it.

I'm suffering. I want it to end. I need help. What can I do?

You can get all the advice you want but its up to you to find it in you to leave him or to really get over him. Pray and ask the lord to bless you. There's really no quick way to grieve, I'm sorry to say. It's a process with real distinct stages. I just recently ended an 18 yr relationship, so I know very well the pain you're feeling.

My suggestion, as a Christian, is to pray and meditate on the good things in your life, asking to be open to what God has for you. Obviously this wasn't the one. He carries us over the biggest hurdles and He can this one, too. Lay you burden on Him. Bring your pain to Him and be open to the healing He will bring you to. Involve yourself with others and their needs (ie. volunteer work or family) and for a short time, you'll be distracted from the pain. It will get longer and you will heal. It seems ridiculous now but it is true.

Only God knows how you feel and He will bring an end to all pain (Rev) including what you're feeling now. Try reading the Psalms and Proverbs to remind yourself just how much He loves you and all of us as a Christian family. We are connected in spirit.

I'll be praying for you & your healing.

Just always keep in your mind that it was not supposed to be. If you were meant to be then you would be.There is an old saying . You got to let the bird fly away and if it comes back then it is meant to be.Maybe not at this time but sometime in the future you could reunite. The lord works in mystery's ways. Ask him to help you let it go and move on with your life.Good Luck

Okay, as a Christian you know God would never give you more than you can bear. You also know prayer works. So, you tell me what is the first thing you were taught as a Christian.
Yeah that is it, turn it over to God he will carry you through. It is times like this that he carries us. Remember the sands how through the roughest parts of our lives there was only one set of prints, it wasn't because he left us. It was because he carried us. Start singing praises, lift your spirits by praising him.

Sometimes a good way to get over someone is to go out with someone else. I know it may seem ruthless at first, but it's a way to get your mind off that person and onto something else. Something more than just playing Scrabble, because that won't do the job.

Get out and start meeting new people, not just for dating but for freindships. Hang out with friends. It will take your mind off of it. Just remember, Your relationship didn't work out because it wasn't meant to be. So now your one step closer to the one your suppose to be with.
