it breaks your hair in an unhealthy way and it also hurts to take them out!

Up-close hair is not smooth and straw-like. The outer-covering (the cuticle) is made up of many overlapping scales. Rubber bands peel these scales backward and cause roughness and breakage.

Cloth-coated hairtyes are much better. The DollarStore sells some great ones.

rubber bands do cause hair breakage. better idea is use no pull by goody or some other known brand.

They hold the hair too tightly when wearing them which causes breakage and they grab the hair when taking them out which also causes breakage.

They are bad for your hair, because they don't let your hair get any oxygen, and it pulls out your hair when you take them out. You should try using a scrunchy, because it don't take out your hair, and it comes in many different colors, that can match you outfit.

not only do they pull your hair out, they break a lot more. use elastic bands, preferably the ones without the metal piece that holds it together. i know these things, my hair is down to my uuuuh sitting down place!

They catch in your hair and end up pulling it out when you try to take them off.
