Actually God does want us to be dependent upon him and "Not" stand on our own two feet. That's how most of us, myself included, end up in all types of situations. Have you ever heard, it's better to go to God in prayer for decisions? Big or small. Yes you will have to stand on your own two feet, but at least God will be standing with you if you fall.

You are incorrect. God wants us to be dependent on Him and we never stand on our own two feet. We have to realize that we need in Him for everything in life. He always needs to be first in our lives. We are allowed to make choices in life and that's where He doesn't intervene.

i like this question. The answer is very simple: God absolutely does want us to depend on him, but also God helps those who helps themselves. Ex: you need a job, don't sit on your behind becuz does the job say come to me?No it doesn't . What do you do? Get up and fill out job applications, Right? ok. Case closed. Done.

We are dependent on God for guidance. We should pray to him for guidance and then wait for the answer. This does not mean wait for God to do everything for us. Live your life with God's word in mind and heart and you will make the right decisions.
Good luck and God bless you.

We all are His children. Just as the parents look after the child for initial years and prepare the child to grow up and become independent of their support, same is the way God--our father in heaven thinks.

Because there is no such God that can help any body so why depend on him. Our God lives within ourselves and he inspires us to stand on our own feet.

Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. These are His words. How then are we not dependent on Him? There is the opportunity for us to be blessed but He wants us to make just a step towards Him and victory will be ours.
