What's wrong with contemporary English, pal? That's a comparison-seeking question, designed to make you feel good about yourself if someone says "Yes, I love JC!" or drive you to feel superior compared to those who choose to say "No, I don't believe in Jesus." In other words, a pretty cliquish question.
A grammar hint on Modern English: the correct way to phrase your question would be "Lovest thou Jesus Christ?"

Pray tell, why dost thou speakest in the Old Tongue? Would that we did speak thus still, save in archaic prose, our verbosity would be such that, forsooth, 'twould take as long as this passage - nay, longer - to provide answer to thy question. But, in answer, I love myself as much as I would love Jesus were I to subscribe to such philosophies. And, yea, am I not parochial that I could judge another for their path, for all are as equals in the eyes of God, for all can choose to repent their sins and believe as wholeheartedly as thou doest for salvation.
