Ok, help, I took a teeny bit of Vitamin B12 (like a teeny smear on my finger) but I am totally panicked and flushed; pls help I don't know why the heck it is doing that. Am I panicking or something is wrong? I am otherwise healthy. Ok, now my fingers are numb & tingling?? This is very very odd.

Argh it contained Niacin; now I understand some of the effects. I was already nervous, too, before I took it. Baaah, I am either dropping the vitamins or taking the Hello Kitty kind for wusses from now on...lol. At least I took Xenical (fat blocker; also blocks some vitamins) with it so maybe some of it got blocked...hehe. :)

Are you sure it was the B 12? Sounds more like
reaction from Niacin. Usually B12 is used for
nervousness, stress, panick attacks, etc. Look
for some other cause. If it is the B12, well duh...
quit taking it.

Vitamin B12 is perfectly safe, but it is a natural energy booster. It usually doesnt work that fast tho. If you were apprehensive when you took it, it could be that your fears are causing the panic attack & tingling. However, you should really check the source of the B12, where did you get it, was it already opened, read the label to see if niacin is also in it, because niacin can cause that kind of reaction...but it goes away soon. Both are completely natural B vitamins & safe.

You may be having a low blood sugar episode, totally coincidentally with the B12. Do you have orange juice or other fruit juice handy? Drink about 1/2 a small glass. Then, after you settle down a bit, definitely eat something - preferably tuna, salmon or other low fat meat/protein - tofu/soy if you are a vegetarian, with a bit of carbohydrate like fruit, or a cracker/cookie or something.
Then check out www.hufa.org for info on other symptoms due to low blood sugar - hypoglycemia.

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

Call your local Emergency room and ask them. I think you will find you are OK.
B vitamins are water soluable so try flushing it out of your system by drinking some extra water.
