Firstly you don't know where Hitler went. He could have repented for his sins before his death. Anyone who is not a Christian goes to hell as you can see clearly from the Bible.

The issue is not whether a person has the proper answers on thier theological test. Christians do not think there is a sign at heavens gate with a sign that says Christians with an arrow one way and "all other" with an arrow pointing to hell. The same Bible, long before issueing this statement, already establish the gound rules. Moses and Jesus made them clear. Moses brought forth the rules put God first, don't lie, don't steal, don't murder, don't commit adultery, etc. Jesus made the rules internal. Love the LORD your God with all you heart mind soul and strength. The one who hates his brother has already commited murder. The one who lusts has already committed adultery. The judge in the courtroom does not consider the beliefs of the person accused, but merely if it can be proven that they broke the law. The question you ask "So Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems, and Hitler get the same fate?" is sort of like this illustration. Your friend has been going to court for 2 weeks. He has not said anything about it and so you are curious. You walk in and hear the Judge declare, "I sentence you to death!" You spend the next week complaining about the judge and the legal system. You organize a protest with signs; "Unfair", "Impeach the Judge", "No justice with this Justice", etc. One morning the judge walks up to you and hands you a stack of papers. "Read this before you make yourself into more of a fool!" Flabbergasted you sit back. It is the court records of the case. Ready to gain evidence to prove you points, you read it. As you turn page after page, rage turns to shock, then disbelief then back to anger. You hold in your hands the conclusive proof that your "friend" was a liar, thief and even a murderer. Not just once but many times over. Now the judge looks reasonable. The punishment is appropriate.
That is except for the mercys of God all would go to hell. Romans 3:23 "all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." I have yet to meet the person who has never told a lie and never hated another person and never lusted. Rom 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." sinner = breaker of God's law. Watch "the Passion of the Christ" and you will see how Jesus died. In the God's law when a punishment is declared appropriate by the judge another can take the place of the condemned. We have all heard ot the rich kid that when fined by the court had the fine paid by the rich parents so that the kid never actual experiences the pain of the punishment. Isa 53:5-6 "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." Those that have understood that they are sinners, and believed that Jesus paid the price for their sins receive forgives. I could hand you the keys to a new, fully paid for house. But until you reach out and accept the gift you wont have them. The house could be yours if you accepted the gift. Heaven is free to those who have accepted the gift of what Jesus did for them. That kind of following Jesus Christ is what makes a Christian, a believer. So to answer you question while Hindus, Buddhists and Moslems are not guilty of sins on the same scale as Hitler was. We are all guilty of sins of the same type.

If you're not christian, you won't believe it, so why would you care? If you are christian, then you believe what it says. If you know about Christ and reject Him, when judgment comes, He'll reject you, it's only fair. Even if you say you accept Him, but are abominable, a murderer, whoremonger, corcerer, idolator or liar, what's the point of saying you accept Him, if you reject His teachings to the point of continuing in that path? So, basically, you're still rejecting Him. There's more to salavation that lip service. And if you really read the bible, you'd see that the Hitler's of the world, leaders who lead their people astray, have a worse fate than normal, everyday unbelievers, but you'd have to actually read more than one scripture to get it.

I have rules in my house. Don't you? I mean, if you are gonna live here, there are certain things I insist on...clean up after yourself, help out with chores, don't watch or listen to vulgar material when the grandkids are here, call and let me know if you are going to be late, the dog doesn't deserve to be kicked just because you had a bad day at work...stuff like that.
You can't just stroll up into God's living room, put your feet up on His golden coffee table, and tell Him how He ought to do things. He seems to think that coming to earth and making Himself available to you to be both a sacrifice for sin, and an advocate for you when you mess up is the Way to reconcile the world to Himself. If you disagree, I suggest you take it up with Him.
His plan is a compassionate and a loving plan, I don't really see why anyone has a problem with it.

i don't know what any person's fate is. i have to worry about my fate. it sounds like Christianity isn't for you and that's OK. there would be only one religion if it worked for everyone.
we have lots of choices in life and you need to find a religion that works for you. there are oddities in all religions though.
my interpretation of this verse is as follows: lets say you didn't believe before all the book of revelation happened. all of the things in revelations happen. what do you think of people who do not believe after all of the things in the first 21 chapters happen? i

This is your interpretation of that scripture. Any verse taken out of context can be interpreted many ways. I think you have taken this out of context. As I am a christian, we do not believe that people have the same fate because they never got the chance to know the truth. God is fair and just.

Anybody who sins deserves punishment. That's justice.
God gave His Son. That's love
Now, people don't have to suffer that punishment. That's mercy.
All you have to do is obey (Matthew 7:21). That's simple.
Some people claim that God has to accept you, no matter what religion you follow, whether or not you choose to accept the gift of pardon that cost His Son His life? That's ridiculous.

Dunno. Why don't you ask God, seeing as he's the one who's making the rules, not us?
Just to stir the pot, Paul of the New Testament was a murderer. And he was one of Christ's most active advocates in the early days of the church.
Can we really confine the mind of God to a Yahoo answers page?
And why is this question being asked? :)

In God's eyes, yes. You should follow one religion, and that is his. I personally don't have anything against other religions, however God is pretty strict about who you worship. And since he created us I guess thats an ok deal.

Again, it is not a matter of "badness", it is a matter of belief in Christ as savior. There is only one way to Heaven, through Christ. If one rejects Christ, they will die in their sins. Sin cannot be allowed in Heaven, so they cannot enter Heaven. Either you are forgiven through the blood of Christ, or you die in your sins. No other choices.
