Restrict her food intake before she goes into the car; if there's less on her tummy, the less likely it will be that stuff will come up. Oddly enough ginger snaps often help dogs who are carsick. Give the dog a cookie about 20 minutes before the car ride. You can also give the dog Dramamine, but call your vet first and get the proper dosage for your pup.

Yes - take the puppy on very short trips only at first. Do something fun like just take her for a short walk, then get back in the car and go home. Don't give her anything to eat shortly before going. Also, dogs seem to be a little better if they can see outside.

no you shouldn't do that because if he is extremely carsick then why are you trying to make him miserable in the don't do that!!!!!
what you should do is leave him at home and have a neighbor take him out or you should when ever you go somewhere give him a little bit of aspirin

Take her on short trips every day.gradually increase the time she spends in the car and yes she should get over it.It'll help if you don't take her soon aftwer she's eaten or drank alot. And if you take her to a park for a quick play session she'll realize that the car means something goods about to happen and not Oh No I'm gonna be sick again.

Taking it on short trips often will eventually work but if you have the opportunity to do a long trip it can very quickly cure your pup. I took mine on a 12 hour trip and she was sick all the way but on the return trip she wasn't and she hasn't been sick since. That was 3 years ago.

I have two dogs and a cat that basically go everywhere with me and my mom...we just made sure we kept taking them in the car to get used to it. The vet told us to start with short car rides and gradually make them longer. He will get used to it and be fine after that. Good Luck!:)

Your only real solution is to get tranquilizer pills from the vet. Mix the pill into the dog food, and the dog won't resist it.
