even as a virgin still use tampons , i am thinking they break the hymen?

Yes they can break your hymen but so can a cartwheel or doing the splits. A hymen is a membranous tissue structure that partially or completely surrounds the opening of the vagina. It is usually in the form of a ring around the vaginal opening. It is thought that if a hymen is broken then the female is not a virgin but that is not always true.

Large size tampons can break the hymen. The slender regular ones should be alright, but some girls say even those hurt.

Tampons will not break the hymen! But they may cause toxic shock syndrome!
