There are many great stories out there. Personally, I've always thought the Bible was lacking in character development. Too much telling and not enough showing. Not nearly enough dialogue. Over the top sex and violence. And way too didactic.

I vote for two other literary heroes:

1. Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables"
2. Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird"

If everyone followed the examples set by those two characters, the world would be a lot less violent. And no conversions or smiting the unbelieving are necessary! Just treat your fellow human beings like...well, human beings.

No way is Jesus' life the greatest story ever told. It's boring as hell. I'd say either Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut or Candide by Voltaire would be the greatest story ever told. Though I'm probably in no position to make that claim, since there must be billions of stories I've never heard and never will.

Don't fool yourself, of course Jesus Christ is the greatest story ever told. You only have to ask Him into your life and He will save you from your sins and you will have a place in Heaven for eternity.

You just have to step out of your fantasy world and look at the world today, and the reality is that when you read the Bible, you will realise that everything that Christ said is coming true. You know what that means.....Don't you? That Jesus will come again and keep all those who love and obey Him and take them into the Kingdom of God.

God is the Creator of all things, and the only things that are neverending are "The Kingdom of Heaven, Your own relationship with God, and of course, eternal life. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit they will last for eternity. So, what are you afraid of.....? Something by the containts of your letter. Something that only God can resolve! Also, it takes guts....!

I believe so. That's because his story has impact for 2 thousand years! People make wars, create religions, follow his teachings and make promises and prayers all these centuries in the name of Jesus Christ!

. that concept that Jesus must be punished for our transgressions allowing us to stay away from being punished <<==human beings as sinners should be punished, going to hell. God made the way in that, He have been given a god/guy to maintain mankind. God as a results of fact he's Son of God, and guy so as that His flesh should die. and because he's god, He can come returned to life. as long as somebody is sacrificed, that’s stable adequate for god. <<==God abhor human sacrifice. and then he resurrected himself, so what did he rather supply up?<<==He DID die. finally, no longer something became into sacrificed. <<==the undeniable fact that Jesus DIED on the go skill His dying became into like replace for ALL of mankind. couldn’t he have purely chosen to only forgive us for our sins, in spite of each and every thing, he can do something, he's god. <<==guy has a tendency to abuse. If Jesus didnt come, each and every individual will should die and bypass to hell. God is time-honored with justice and He is time-honored with sinning deserve penalty.
