Okay, so if Hell wasn't created to scare us into Heaven by threatening us with eternal punishment...?

...why eternally punish us in Hell?

If Hell wasn't created as a threat (because God won't let us in if we're just trying to get there to avoid Hell), why create Hell (or at least the Hell described in the Bible with the wailing and gnashing of teeth)?

Why do people who insist that hell is "separation from God" not realize that, separated from God, nothing can exist anyhow? Check out those words again..."second death". If you still have doubts, look up the term "death" in a dictionary. In other words, everything that causes harm will become rapidly disappearing grease spots.

What Gandhi never sinned?

Hell was created to hold Satan and his minion. The bible is very clear on how to avoid going to Hell. Christians bascially believe in two families---God's and Satan's. Simple. So, you if choose God as your father through Jesus, then you spend eternity with Him. If you don't, then....well....we all know the alternative. I know, I know, it sounds crazy. However NO ONE deserves heaven. God is just and cannot look upon sin. Man sins. Jesus came to take that sin away if you choose it. We still have free will. Ya know, I remember thinking this was so strange before I got saved. I remember asking these same questions. So I do understand your disbelief and confusion. The real question is Do you believe Jesus is who he says he is?

Hell was created by Satan, not by God. When Lucifer (once an angel) broke away from God's love and salvation, he fell and created Hell for *his* followers. It is not a threat, it is simply the opposite of Heaven. Heaven is eternal life in paradise, Hell is eternal damnation. People choose if they will go to Hell or not. If you do God's will and trust in Him, and are truly sorry for your sins on earth, then you will be allowed into Heaven. If you choose not to follow the 10 commandments on earth, and don't believe in God, then you spend eternity in Hell.

Hell isn't a "threat"

Hell simply means an eternity seperated from God. It is the human mind that has created it as something more.. pitchforks, etc..

Heaven means an eternity WITH God... again the halo's and misty white clouds is a human conjecture..

The spirit and the body are two seperate things..

Why is it that non believers mix the two to make their argument? I think it is because they can't make their argument make sense of they don't mix the two..

Your reference to Rev 21:8 is just not even worth the argument..

I think that Gandhi and Hitler are having a philosophical discussion over lunch in heaven at this very moment.

Unfortunately, there are only two 'places' in eternity. Heaven, (the presence of God) and Hell (another 'place' created for satan and his angels.) There IS no third choice. If you don't want to be with God, He won't force Himself on you. And the nature of eternity is that your decisions are enforced to their fullest.

Hell is not judgment.
Hell is only a place right now for those who are not allowed in heaven.

After the judgment, (more that a 1000 years from now) the Judged will die, fade to black...

Between now and THEN a lot can happen.

Hell was not created to scare you. It's your choice whether to go there or not. Those who decide not to accept God will go there. God doesn't want you to go there. He wants you in paradise with Him.

I don't understand why people have to go around trying to disprove God. Just let people believe what they want to believe...does it really hurt you if we believe in God. In fact, it is the God-fearing people that make a difference in this world. Without them, this world would be in even more turmoil than it already is.

Find something else to doubt.

Opposition in ALL things baby! Who said Ghandi deserves the same fate as Hitler!? On this earth, Ghandi did many great things, and he quoted my favorite quote... ;o) Who are we to say who will enter heaven or hell?

And honestly, sometimes WE are the ones who create our own hell. Hell was created to punish those who are evildoers, and who have done abominations in they eyes of the Lord, and have no remorse about it.
