I have had measles, Dengue fever, Hong Kong flu, ovarian cancer, an infected gall bladder and a violent immune system reaction to black mold growing in my bathroom. I almost died a few times. The worst? The cancer because of the treatments. Hair fell out, vomit, sick and weak for a year. I am healthy now and I don't like to think about sickness. You shouldn't be dwelling on it either.

I currently have panic disorder and generalized disorder accompanied by agoraphobia. Some times it gets better, some times it gets worse. I have been using benzodiazepin (xanax 1-1.5mg/day average) and sertralin (lustral) for more than 2 years now accompanied with constant psychotherapy. They absolutely limit person's functionality and simplest outdoor daily tasks become near impossible.
I had some surgical operations (general anasthesia) in the past, and some very scarry, hard to diagnose/treat diseases, like VCD - Vocal Cord Disfunction (imagine waking in the middle of the night totally unable to breath, or like breathing from a bewerage straw for several minutes), like cardiac tachycardia (max 190 BPM) without loosing sinus rythm (thank god!) yet those aren't the cause of the panick disorder, I just stated them to show that I had other things to compare to. Still PD and GAD seems to be no better than those. I am not a faint of hard person and not afraid to die, I still can perform some pretty risky things (like putting of serious fires with extinguisher) but not the simple things. Misconception is that panic attacks or phobias hit scarredy people, although it is totally random.
Yet, on the other side PD and GAD is psychological/psychiatrical thus less physiological, and should be easier to control and treat. So what is the problem with me ?

I had salmonella poisoning when I was 9, lost 40% of my body weight and spent more than two weeks in the hospital on intravenous fluids. I kept nothing down, including water for the first seven days, the first five at home until I was hsopitialized with severe dehydration.

Went in to VA hospital for a one-day procedure laproscopy to remove cyst from ovary. The nincompoop student Dr.s there accidently tied off my lower intestines. Took an Air Force Dr. to find the problem a week later. It was either emergency surgery or die. I chose the surgery needless to say.
