I'm 24 years old and sometimes I am so hungry I can't stand it. I can eat a full meal and be hungry again and hour later. Nothing satisfies me and I'll eat like this for days. And sometimes I DON'T eat for days. I'm just not hungry and if I eat I get sick to my stomach. My weight fluctuates between 140 and 170. I'm almost 6 ft tall so this weight is normal for me but, still. I have talked to my doctor about it and she always ignores it. But, then she'll tell me to watch my weight because the frequent changes are extremely hard on my body. This has been going on for years. What the hell is wrong with me? Is it hormones?

I think you might have a thyroid problem. you need to have a blood test its easy to treat once you start treatment . I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. it took 5 doctors to find out what was wrong.it takes eight weeks to get the medicine right. i found out what was wrong Jan of this year. my weight is almost back to normal and i feel alot better. you need to look this up on the Internet to see if you have any of the symptoms. it can be serious mine was.

I too have hungry periods and times when I don't want to eat. Your body is talking to you is what I think. Perhaps you should try to eat a little something during the low appetite periods to keep your weight more stable.

I'd say it just might be or an overactive thyroid and you need to seek a second opinion immediately. If my doctor was ignorning something so major I would find a new doctor right away.
