It has been repeatedly and consistently reported that there is not possibly enough Hoodia being exported from South Africa (the only place where it grows) to have contributed to the vast amount of "natural" diet supplements "containing" Hoodia suddenly available in the US, UK, etc. Hoodia is a succulent that takes many years to grow.
The chances of any of these supplements actually containing Hoodia would be slim.
Loosing weight requires a healthy lifestyle which requires healthy eating and regular exercise. And if you stop drinking soda and sugary drinks, as well as alcohol, the chances are you will loose weight even faster.
Good luck.

I tried 100% Hoodia and......
Hoodia has worked for me...and with no side effects.
Check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program.
For all you doubters, here is the prior feedback for another Answers user who followed my advice:

very good comment i lost 2 lbs in a week
i think i can almost get in my leather dress, i can hit the town in no time
**** VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF ---
#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia...look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!
#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!
#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.
#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!
Hoodia (HOOD-ee-uh) gordonii - A genus of 10 to 20 species from southwestern Africa.
Hoodia gordonii is the stoneage wonder plant found throughout the dry arid regions of the South western African continent now on the verge of making history in the fight against obesity. It is a genus belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family which consists of approximately 20 species. Used to stop hunger, quench thirst, and provide energy among other things since prehistoric times, Hoodia gordonii was first discovered by the San tribesmen and women to get through the most difficult of times.

According to some experts, there are more hoodia products sold than there really is hoodia produced. In other words, some hoodia products may not contain as much hoodia as they claim.
Your best choice is to just forget about hoodia, at least until more research is done.

so far there is NO evidence, from scientific research, that hoodia has any slimming properties at all.
Everyone who can be expected to know anything on the subject of weight loss says the only ways are
1) eat less,
2) exercise more,
3) a combination of the above two !

Hoodia is Hoodia...it would be the potencies of the particular brand that you should research and be interested in. Find a dossage that is right for you and go from there.

I'd be careful with Hoodia. It sounds promising, but I tried the Gordon II South African blends (from GNC) and they do nothing to surpress my appetite.
