I'm a vegetarian because my body and soul are happier that way.

I was a BIG meat eater. But I always felt a pull toward a veg lifestyle. As I've gotten older, my body doesn't react to meat well. I've had problems with joint pain, bursitis, gout that went away when I stopped eating meat.

I tried to be veg before and didn't feel well but now I know more about how to do it right and I feel much better.

I won't get into my philosophical reasons- it would be too long. I advise anyone thinking about it to do some research. Find out about factory farming and how our animal products are produced. You might be shocked- I was!

I used to be a vegetarian when I was a professional ballet dancer. It kept me leaner than when I ate meat. I eventually stopped dancing and slowly came back to the world of meat-eating. I had never realized how weak not eating meat made me. Even though I've gained a few pounds, I feel a lot better, stronger and healthier since I have been eating meat. I don't eat tons of meat like the average person and I stay away from most red meats; I mainly stick to fish and chicken. Vegan is definitely the way to go if you are shooting for a very thin body, but I now believe the best way to go is to have very well rounded meals.

I'm not, but I've thought about it. Most meat in the U.S. food supply has massive amounts of antibiotics and growth hormones, which are toxins. Also, most animals raised for meat are not treated humanely.

These are the only reasons I've considered it. I think humans evolved to eat meat as part of their natural diet.

I try to find free-range meat raised with no anitibiotics or hormones. My local health-food store carries some, and now the two major supermarkets near me have begun stocking some, but you have to look a little harder to find it. It's worth it. Tastes better, and I believe in supporting ethical business (including farming) practices with my consumer dollars.

being a vegetarian once in a while is fine. being a vegetarian makes u get hungry real fast and eating potatoes increase the amt of carbs taken in n makes u fat easily. meat on the other hand is preferred by most ppl, more energy, appealing n tasty.

You can have milk when you are a vegetarian! It's only when you are a vegan when you can't have any animal products.

I eat meat, because I like it. I kill quite a bit of my meat, so it's nutritionally good, and low in fat.
