It used to be a two week boot camp period before slipping into regular army, but now I don't know maybe shipping right out?

No, there was a 2 week program some time ago for people that had been out of the service for a time and went back in. Now, from reserves to Active is just a pen stroke.

I was in the AIr Force but we had one. It was called a "readjustment squadron". It was an alternative form of punishment. Very successful. People who went thru it definetly proved that they were willing to do whatever it took to stay in.
