A woman from Texas said I was a deviant because I said a girl of 16 looked sexy.

I want to know how you feel about this - I live in England and the Age of Consent here is 16.

It is legal for me to have sex with a girl/lady aged 16. I don't usually look below 20+ but I still have the option before some evil woman infers that I am Satan himself.

So was my comment fair play or sick?

I am 36.

The biggest age difference I have had was going out with a girl aged 18 when I was 32 - so 14 years age difference.

BTW: My mum is dating a man 4 years older than me.

It really amazes me how dictatorial some people can be - like, if you do not obey my beliefs (not laws) then you must be banished from planet Earth!!!

if the age of consent is 16 then what is the problem .. if she looks hot then it is ok to voice your opinion and the woman from texas or anyone else who wants to preach can go chase a train or something . free speech in uk remember

There is a difference between paedophile and inmature perverse men. There should be a difference, or is just a line settled by a law?
Well, you must be older than 32 if you refer to the relation with the biggest difference of age. My question is: what can you share with such a young girl? I am married with a man almost 10 years older than me, and the mentality and background is already completely different.
If is only about having sex, then I can understand it everytime is about a premature girl that decides with absolutely freedom to have a one night relation with somebody that could be his father.
You are not the only one, many men are doing what you do all over the world. Some of them finally mature and decide to search for a younger woman within certain limits in order to have a few subjects to talk about together.
Other ones are continiously changing women periodically as they would be renewing their cars.
As a conclusion, I would think that for that girl you are just an old sucker that she probably looks out of curiosity or because she thinks will get something from you - innocence of the inexperienced girl -
If I would see you in such a situation, I would go further than that evil woman. Thanks God my daughter is still too little, but I keep on learning about life. In case of finding somebody like you trying to seduce such a young teenager, I would send you to court in Texas with a Christian and Mormon jury.
Be careful if you do not want to end up nailed in jail. Over 21 is the safer move you might do, and keep on being an old sucker.

It kind of depends on how old you are. If you are in your 30's and up, then yes it's a bit sick to be checking out these girls.

Even though a 16 year old isn't a child physically, in this day and age we have convinced people of that age that they are children and they behave accordingly.

I have to say that IMHO being that you are 36 it would be morally wrong to pursue a 16 year old. I am NOT passing judgment on you by far. The age of consent differs here in the US from state to state as well as depending on how old each person involved is. The age of consent just may be 16 but that still doesn't make it legal for a 30 yo to have sex with her, it's legal for a 16 and 17yo to have sex with her.

Like I said before, these young woman are physically mature (especially with all the hormones they put in the beef) but on the inside most parents aren't letting their children grow up in a timely fashion. Maybe you are a bit immature (no insult intended) and that's why you find yourself attracted to these young woman, but maybe you should really try to stick to the woman in their early 20's if that is the case. The 16 yo's really don't have a good head on their shoulders and will probably wind up falling madly in love with you, you will be their first and hurt them greatly. There is just so much more to consider then just the age difference. Be the responsible adult.

In the U. S. age of consent is also 16, but there has been so much about pedophiles in the news that people are quick to take offense when a man older than the age of 18 comments on a young girl. You had a right to comment that she was sexy, but while it would be alright for you to have sex with her, you would also be opening yourself up to a charge of interfering with parental control. Just watch what you say and don't worry what people think. Like you said you usually don't look beyond a certain age, but today's teens are flaunting what they have, so you noticed.

Well,if the legal consent for females in England is 16,then I would say it's ok,if the male is between the ages of 16-18. Regardless of where a person lives,a man who is at least 21 and over,should not be dealing with a 16 year old female.

If the age of legal consent is 16, your comment is fair...however, I note that you didn't give your own age. People would presume that if your own age is above say, 30, your comment may weigh against your character.

The legal boundary of morality often doesn't perfectly match the average moral code of a society, so be careful when treading in the gray area.

It was sick because legal or not, she's still too young. She's still in school and hasn't started her life in the "real" world yet. Sleeping with someone that young could ruin their chances of making a good life for themselves. I am 16 and have had a 40-something year old man hit on me. It's disgusting. If you had a daughter it would be like you sleeping with her. She's still just a child. Stick to women your own age. And keep comments like that to yourself. I think we should have a world-wide age of consent at 18. Anything else is just too young.

One must respect someones interest and culture from afar but that person also must respect the culture and laws of the current country that they are in. She has the right to her opinion and just said that because that kind of activity is rampant in this country for some reason. But it is the law and you can be punished for breaking it. So stick with the young girls in England and stay shy of them in the US for your own sake

Well there is nothing wrong with enjoying the sight because they are often beautiful at that age, but it's best to keep that to yourself, or at least only to discuss with like minded trusted males.

She was probably just somewhat jealous. Also, some of us Americans are a bit sexually repressed and hypocritical.

It's NOT okay to act on it.

I can guarantee that if you have a "relationship" with a child (which is what a 16 year old is), when that child grows up she will think you are a creep.
