Sorry that must have been one of the recruiter lies told before he is sworn in. I only had 2 for 2 minutes each the entire 9 weeks and that was for good test grades. If he is in DEP right now tell him to study hard especially his 11 general orders of a sentry he will be tested hard on those written and by petty officers, his chief and senior chief while he is on watch duty. I seriously doubt that. While I can appreciate that you miss your brother and I'm sure he misses you, he now has a new family and a new job, and the navy has a job to do also. The separation from his homelife is just a small first step in his training.

I don't know about at boot camp, but I know after boot camp is complete and they go into "school" they get leave, I remember picking up a friend's boyfriend at Great Lakes quite often. But he was out of boot camp at that time I think.
